Live the experience of running in one of the most fantastic places on the planet, the Inca Trail near the vicinity of the Sanctuary of Machu PIcchu (Peru).
The race takes place between the valleys of Salkantay to Machu Picchu village, where the finish line is located. The participants will find in the way several Inca ruins as Llactapacta.
In addition to running, the organization offers a 6-day program including transfers, accommodations, and all meals that combine the race with acclimatization training, visits to places such as Cuzco, the Sacred Valley, Vilcabamba, Sacsayhuaman, the spectacular rainbow mountain and a Trekking through a part of the Inca Trail near the valley of Salkantay.

The circuit travels through part of the Inca Trail in the Salkantay valley to Machu Picchu village in the North-South direction in the Inca Trail. The accumulated elevation will be: 1740 m (full), 350 m (half) and 120 m (10 k). Maximum altitude will be 3150 m in the marathon, 2800 m in the half marathon and approximately 2300 m in the 10 k.
Previously there will be several days of training as contact with the terrain and acclimatization.
The surface is a mixture of dirt tracks and trails in various environments; humid rainforest up to 2500 m, drier heath forest, up to 3200, so multipurpose trail footwear is recommended. The accumulated elevation is significant but easily affordable in the program. Check the photo gallery below for the map!
The organization has looked for the best dates to enjoy suitable temperatures in May-June, away from the heat of the northern hemisphere and spring storms. Although the weather is never under control, even so, the environmental conditions could vary.
A temperature is expected that could vary from 5ºC at the beginning, around 2ºC at the highest pass, to 25ºC at the finish line. The organization will put a clothing delivery point in case a participant wants to get rid of a winter cap, jacket, etc. Check the photo gallery below!
Arrival to the airport of Cuzco, free transfer to the hotel, rest and cultural trip in the town, guided visit to the Sacsayhuaman temple. Easy run aclimatization session at 3500m altitude. Dinner and accommodation in hotel
Breakfast and transfer to the Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley), visit traditional textile workshop, visit to salt mines and training session. Transfer to Santa Teresa. Dinner and hotel accommodation.
Breakfast and transfer to Milpo. Lunch. Start of the Trekking to the valley of Salkantay. Dinner.
Breakfast. Start of the Marathon/Half marathon/10 k In the way we will visit the ruins of Llactapacta and we will finish in Machu Picchu village. Rest and Trophy ceremony, dinner and night in Machu Picchu village.
Breakfast. Transfer to Machu Picchu in touristc train. Visit of Machu Picchu, lunch and return to Ollantaytambo and approximation to the Rainbow Mountain. Dinner and accommodation in hotel.
Breakfast and visit to the Rainbow Mountain at 5100m over sea level. Return to Cusco and transfer to the airport.
