Cum One, Cum All, and celebrate the official and definite re-launch of one of the most iconic hash events in Central Europe - the V4+1 Hash Weekend!
What is V4+1?
The V4 are the Visgrad nations of Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, and the +1 is Vienna. The idea of the event is that it rotates between kennels and countries on a yearly basis, however this came to an abrupt end when Covid hit - now it's time to get the show back on the road!
Where and when will it happen?
The event will take place between Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd March 2026, in Tabor, a historic town in the South Bohemian region of Czech Republic. The town was established in 1420, and the historic town center is preserved as an urban monument reservation.
How do I get there?
There are regular direct trains from Prague, and a couple of direct trains per day from Vienna.
Tell me about the weekend?
We will meet in the centre of Tabor on Friday March 20th for registration, handing out of Haberdashery, and drinking practice, before a group dinner. After dinner there will be a pub crawl and possible trivia contest, and as Sloppy is organising it he can't enter, so someone else can finally win!
On Saturday March 21st there will be a Very Sloppy Hash Trail, where you will get to see Tabor and the surrounding areas in ways you would never have a chance to otherwise.
There will be lunch on trail, and after trail we'll have a circle, at which point people can relax for a while before we meet for the evening meal and another group dinner.
Finally, on Sunday March 22nd there will be a hangover trail, followed by an optional brunch for those who don't need to rush off.
Okay, I'm interested. What does it cost?
The price for this event is 150 Euros per person. This price includes:
Dinner and Drinks on Friday Evening
Special Trivia Prizes
Haberdashery
Lunch and Trail Beers on Saturday
Dinner and Drinks on Saturday Evening
Trail Beers for Hangover Trail on Sunday
This price does NOT include:
The cost of getting to Tabor
Accommodation - although I will give links for places to check out so you can hopefully find something that fits your own personal budget and confort level
Any drinks that are NOT beer, wine or soft drinks at the above mentioned places
Any food or drink consumed outside the above mentioned places, such as for people who might decide to have a late night pub crawl with Sloppy!
Please note: There is a 30 Euro non-refundable deposit to pay at registration. If you pay in full but have to cancel, the full amount minus the deposit will be refunded prior to February 10th 2026, after that your money will be added to the beer kitty for those who are able to attend!
I'm aware that this price seems expensive for a weekend in the Czech Republic - alas the prices of everything have been rising quite rapidly in the last couple of years, so the days of having a weekend for 100 Euros are unfortunately long gone :-(
