Zambia is one of the top travel destinations in Africa for good reason; the most obvious being its proximity to one of the world’s famous, seven ‘Natural Wonders of the World’- Victoria Falls. There are diverse activities for every type of traveller. 

You may choose to cancel your participation in a JWJ trip at any time; however please note to the following cancellation policy below:

At JWJ Travels, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. You have the option to cancel your initial reservation within the first 14 days after making the initial deposit, but please note that the deposit itself is non-refundable, and cannot be transferred to another trip. All payments made toward the balance of your trip are non-refundable after five (5) days of the payment being made. This includes full payments, and monthly or weekly instalment payments and any late fees.

It is advised to purchase trip cancellation insurance as a precaution, in the unlikely event that JWJ Travels may cancel, modify or postpone the Getaway or any part of it for mitigating/extenuating circumstances. 

Please also note that JWJ Travels is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses sustained as a result of your booking being cancelled. This includes but is not limited to:

•        Visas & vaccinations

•        Flights, train tickets, or other transportation fees

We’re thrilled to share a sneak peek of our upcoming journey! As the departure date draws near, our guests will receive a more comprehensive and customised itinerary outlining the daily schedule, including hourly activities, and expectations for each day.

You will arrive at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (LVI) in Livingstone. 

In the evening, you’ll join fellow JWJ guests for a specially curated welcome dinner experience. Be prepared to be captivated with cultural performances as you savour authentic Zambian dishes.

This is a perfect opportunity to get to know each other, learn key details about the trip, and go over important information to ensure a smooth and beautiful experience. 

>We commence this trip straightaway with a visit to the spectacular Victoria Falls- one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. On this guided tour, you will witness both sides of the extraordinary Victoria Falls on foot from Livingstone Island. 

>For the adventure seekers, swim to the edge of the Devil’s Pool which is perched on the edge of the Victoria Falls. Sit at the edge to see the Victoria Falls in its full awesomeness.  It's an adrenaline- pumping, once-in- a life time experience with unbeatable, breathtaking views.

For our brave hearted guests, opt to zipline 135m across the canyon if you’re daring!

>Later we will unwind as we sail the Zambezi River which lies on top of the Victoria Falls. 

Spot wildlife such as herd of elephants, crocodiles, and hippos and observe the striking sunset. 

Enjoy snacks and alcoholic beverages while listening to live African, musical entertainment onboard.

>You will enjoy an elegant lunch at a world class restaurant built in the vicinity of an elephant sanctuary, the Elephant Café. Rated #1 restaurant in Zambia, this experience is like no other as it involves a three-tiered offering including:

- a jetboat ride

- elephant interaction 

- fine dining. 

You will have a chance to interact with these gentle African elephants, take pictures and learn the history linked to them. 

>Experience an unbelievably up-close encounter with the wildlife at Mukuni as you walk with Lions and Cheetahs. 

Enjoy a scenic elephant ride and interaction with elephants (the elephants are well looked after).

>You will enjoy a very scrumptious local Zambian lunch before we head to town for a cultural tour.

>We will visit the Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side. 75% of the Falls can be seen from this side, and a network of paths and viewpoints allows you to see more of the Falls from virtually every angle so you can get a better perspective of its full width and power. 

>We will have lunch at Zambezi House

>Wind down and enjoy the glorious sunset at The Wild Horizons Lookout Café which is perched on the edge of the Batoka Gorge. 

You will embark on a spectacular game drive at Chobe National Park and the Chobe River in Botswana! 

Our guide will help you spot native wildlife, including game cats, in their natural habitat in a safari vehicle. 

Afterwards, you will have lunch at a lodge on the riverbank before spending the rest of the afternoon game viewing along the Chobe River. Look out for birds and other wildlife throughout the boat cruise with an astounding view of the sunset over the river.

Dinner is also included

Giving you an unforgettable goodbye dinner experience on a glorious steam train, whisking you past Victoria Falls and right over Victoria Falls Bridge. This vintage luxury dinner experience includes a 5-course meal, freshly prepared by chefs from the 5-star Victoria Falls Hotel, while admiring views of the Zimbabwean landscape and wildlife. Capture wonderful photos and videos of Victoria Falls as the sun is setting.
