Go to bed with the sounds of local birds and wake up to the sounds of the ocean waves as we round off our bucket list trip with beach days, island hopping and volunteering at a local turtle centre or teaching English to local children or surf lessons! Now that’s a shell of a good time!

Heya! My name’s Quinn 🙌

I’m 23 and based in Hawai’i. Some of my favorite things in life are yoga, photography, and diving. I love being surrounded by nature, whether that’s hiking through the jungle, sailing across the ocean, or watching the sunrise from a new corner of the world.

For the past few years, I’ve been traveling and sailing full-time, living everywhere from off-grid farms to sailboats to backpacker hostels — and I’ve found so much joy in connecting with people who share that same love for adventure and meaningful travel. The memories and lessons I’ve gathered along the way have shaped me into who I am today.

I’m so stoked to be hosting two upcoming adventures — exploring the islands of Lombok and Bali (Feb 25 – Mar 8 2026) and then diving deep into the jungles and coastlines of Sumatra (Mar 8 – 17 2026). These trips are all about community, connection, and going off the beaten path — and I can’t wait to share these incredible experiences with you.🌏💫

The adventure starts now! Your bags are packed, and the countdown is over. Time to meet your fellow travelers (future partners in adventure) and your expert guide, who’ll lead you through 10 unforgettable days of rainforest treks, wildlife encounters, and immersive cultural experiences. Are you feeling that buzz of excitement? Because we sure are! Before you hit the road, take the evening to wander around Medan and soak in the energy of this bustling city, giving you a taste of what Sumatra has in store before the real adventure begins. Let’s kick off this journey!

Let’s get the day started! After a quick breakfast, we’re hitting the road to Bukit Lawang, an untouched slice of paradise tucked away in Sumatra’s wild heart. Once we arrive, we'll have some time to settle in and grab a bite before venturing into the incredible Bat Cave. Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience as we watch the bats in action, performing their mysterious nighttime dance. Don’t worry, they’re not the vampire kind! Afterward, we’ll head back to our accommodation to relax, then wrap up the day with a tasty local dinner. Adventure is calling!

We’re up early, fueled and ready for an epic day. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll hit the jungle trails, searching for orangutans, monkeys, and vibrant birds. When hunger strikes, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch right in the heart of the rainforest, surrounded by nature. After we’ve refueled, we’ll trade our boots for tubes and float down the river, letting the current take us straight back to the hotel. Now that’s how you wrap up a wild day!

It’s travel day! After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport for an afternoon flight to Padang. This coastal city, surrounded by lush hills and the Indian Ocean, is perfect for unwinding. Once we arrive, enjoy some free time to explore Padang’s beaches and vibrant city life. Tonight, we’ll slow things down, soaking in the sunset over the city – a perfect end to an unforgettable journey.

Depart to Siberut Island! We will start the journey by taking the fastboat at 7AM in Padang harbor and it takes approximately 3 hours. Arrive around 10 AM in Siberut. Upon arrival, we go directly to Muntei village to have breakfast, shower and our team will get the supplies at the meanwhile such as foods, water, permits etc. Once all supplies have been done, heading to the jungle by motorized canoe up to the river and walk in the muddy jungle to reach the Mentawai village (few hours, depend on the level of the river). 

A moderate level of fitness is required for the trekking, the way can be slippery and muddy. Spending the rest of the day in the Mentawai traditional house called “Uma”, to know more the family who welcomed you. The conditions are very basics, you sleep on the floor with mosquito’s net and thin mattress and have shower in the river. But you will live a unique experience by sharing your difference and learn about anew culture in the jungle. The Mentawai live in total harmony with the nature and are animists.

Share the daily life with Mentawai tribe and activities such hunting in the jungle, fishing, making poison arrow, making rattan basket, see the processing of bark clothes, cooking, see the Sago preparation, their principal daily food, trekking in the jungle, and if you are lucky, attend a traditional ceremony with shamans according their religion.

Today, you will live as a Mentawai people, shower in the river, sleep on the floor, eat with them, share and communicate with them.

It’s time to say goodbye to the jungle and head to the beach! We say goodbye to the locals of the Mentawai village and hello to a slow beach life. Depart to the harbour after breakfast and In the afternoon we head to Padang and check out Nagari Sungai Pinang, this cool traditional fishing village hugging the southern coast of Padang. We’ll be spending our last few days in beach huts just a stone throw from crystal clear waters and surrounded by nature. Have the morning to chill before we travel to Padang. We arrive in the late evening, have dinner, a drink or too and get ready for our last few days spent on the beaches of paradise.

It’s time to island-hop, we’ll jump into boats and head to surrounding marine hotspots to jump in! Grab your mask and snorkel and dive down as we swim along the vibrant corals, colourful fish and even maybe a turtle or 2! Our day will have us visiting Turtle Point, Nemo Point and Snake island to witness the natural beauty of Indonesia’s quieter island. Head to the beach and feel the sand between your toes, the breeze in your hair and the sun on your face as we have a chilled afternoon. An incredible day and a hell of a good time! In the evening it’s back to our beach huts and dinner and drinks as the sun goes down. 

Guitar and sing along with the local team around bon-fire on the beach! What else?!

Today we’ll learn the importance of conservation, how Sumatra supports turtles within the ocean’s ecosystem, we’ll also help bath turtles and reef replanting near the accommodation or care to join ocean plastic free projects. In the afternoon, joining the RBH Youth Development Program goes to school for English teaching to local students and clean the beach with the kids. Then continue it with a surf lesson (depending on swell) or beach volley.

In the evening, we’ll dance on the music floor with a local band, sip cocktails and sing along to the live music. It’s our last night together in Sumatra, it’s only right.. Right?
