🔷 Sunday, August 31: We will take a walking tour of Cusco City and visit some of the main Inca citadels and temples in the city, such as Sacsayhuamán and Qorikancha. Afterwards, you'll have free time to explore the local market and supermarket, check out the gym, and get settled in.

Week 1

Our first week working remotely from Cuzco City.
During the weekdays, we will have activities post-working hours around the this vibrant town, including salsa classes, food tastings, and local outings.
We will also have skill-sharing sessions and family dinners within our group.

Weekend 2

Ausangate's 7 lakes hike and Maras Salt Mines and Moray ATV

🔹 Saturday, Sep 06: Our first hike of the trip will be a full-day trek to Ausangate’s 7 Lakes. This 10 km hike takes us through seven stunning lakes. Even though it’s a long trek, the terrain is mostly flat, and the views are spectacular.

🔹 Sunday, Sep 07: We’ll start the morning at a slower pace and, around midday, hop on ATVs to visit the Maras Salt Mines and Moray. The journey is incredible! If you don’t feel comfortable riding, you can pair up with someone or ride with a guide.

Week 2

The week will also be filled with optional post-working hour activities!

Weekend 3

Rainbow Mountain and Local Markets

🔹 Saturday, Sep 13: We will visit the iconic Rainbow Mountain on a full-day trek. This 5 km hike takes us to an altitude of 5,200 meters, making it one of the highest peaks we will trek. That’s why it’s important to do this hike after we've acclimatized.

🔹 Sunday, Sep 14: We’ll have a more relaxed day, with the option to enjoy brunch at a local spot before heading to the local market. This is the perfect opportunity to pick up anything you might need for the Salkantay Trek.

Week 3

We are entering our third week of remote work in this beautiful city.
On either Thrusday or Friday afternoon, we will have a Salkantay Trek debrief to prepare for the adventure.

On Friday afternoon, we will hold a ceremony to say goodbye to those who will not be joining us on the Salkantay Trek, and to set intentions for the challenge and unforgettable experience ahead.
