American Equivalent Breakdown
Interlaken (The Hub): Think Frisco, CO or Silverthorne, CO. It is a town surrounded by major resorts rather than a slope-side village, offering lower prices, nightlife, and easy transit access to several surrounding mountains.
Grindelwald (The Largest Area): Similar to Breckenridge or Vail. It is a major, bustling, traditional village with car access, expansive groomed terrain (200+ km), and high-tech lift systems.
Wengen (The Charming Village): Similar to Beaver Creek or Deer Valley. It is a car-free, upscale village known for spectacular, scenic, intermediate-friendly skiing, and is only reachable by train.
Mürren (The Alpine Village): Similar to Telluride or a quieter Jackson Hole. A high-altitude, car-free village with dramatic, steep, "find your own line" terrain and stunning views
