About your trip

4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS PENDER ISLAND, BC ALL INCLUSIVE

Come solo or bring your favourite women—either way, this is your invitation to sink into island time and salt air on Pender Island. The Pender Island Women’s SUP Glamping Retreat is a women-only, small-group escape designed to build skills, confidence, and connection—on and off the water. Over 4 days, you’ll explore sheltered coastlines, practice technique with supportive coaching, and settle into unhurried moments that make you feel like yourself again: glamping comfort, delicious resort meals, golden-hour paddles, and the kind of laughter that only shows up when you’re truly relaxed. Yoga, breath work, and meditation are sprinkled throughout to help you land fully in the Gulf Islands rhythm. This retreat is for women paddlers who want an experience that’s equal parts adventure + restoration. Whether you’re new to paddleboarding or ready to refine your skills, you’ll be met exactly where you are—with a safe, encouraging vibe and expert guidance throughout. Let the coast set the pace.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Everything you can look forward to on your Pender Island Women's Glamping Retreat

Gulf Islands Glamping Tents

You’ll be staying in Port Browning Marina Resort’s one-of-a-kind canopy-style glamping tents—a rare, elevated “camp-but-make-it-comfortable” experience and the perfect base for our women’s retreat rhythm. Tucked near the heated pool and overlooking Port Browning Harbour, these tents offer that Gulf Islands magic: ocean air, quiet evenings, and a cozy space to recharge between paddles, yoga, and breathwork. Each tent has a private patio with harbour views, and you’re just a short walk to the main building for shared washroom facilities, and the restaurant/pub.

Another accommodation option is the new West Coast RV Hideaway with its own private kitchen and washroom.

Coastal Meals: Delicious, Fresh & Social

Meals are woven into the retreat—fresh, nourishing, and locally inspired to fuel your coastal adventures.

Breakfast: Each morning starts slow and cozy with a fresh continental breakfast, served either in your glamping tent or in the Bridgemans Bistro—a relaxed, communal start before we head to the harbour.

Lunch: For paddling days, the Port Browning Pub prepares catered grab-and-go lunches designed to travel well—so you can pack it in your dry bag and eat shoreline-side or rafted up in a calm cove, without interrupting the day’s rhythm.

Dinner: Evenings are for unwinding together with dinner at the Port Browning Pub—Pender’s classic place to eat, drink, and mingle, with waterfront views, a welcoming local atmosphere, and often live music (depending on the night). It’s the perfect place to debrief the day, laugh, and settle into island pace.

High Quality Paddling & Safety Gear

We’ve got your on-water setup covered—so you can arrive, learn, and enjoy the coast without stressing about equipment. Your retreat includes a complete touring-ready kit fitted at the start so you feel comfortable and confident before we launch.

  • Paddleboard – stable, confidence-building, and well-suited for beginner-friendly coastal paddling

  • Paddle – properly sized for you for comfort, efficiency, and reduced fatigue

  • Leash – keeps you connected to your board (a key safety piece, especially in wind)

  • PFD (life jacket) – comfortable, Coast Guard/Transport Canada-appropriate flotation that stays with you on the water

  • Tow bag – a guide-style safety tool used for group touring, giving us an extra layer of support during crossings, wind, or if someone needs assistance.

Guided Coastal SUP Tours (North + South)

We’ll spend our on-water time on guided paddleboard tours along the stunning coastlines of both North and South Pender Islands—exploring sheltered bays, rocky shoreline stretches, and quiet island coves chosen for conditions and comfort. Routes are curated daily based on wind, tides, and the group’s pace, with plenty of pauses to practice skills, take in the views, and simply enjoy being out there together.

Expect a blend of easy touringbeginner-friendly coaching, and those classic Gulf Islands moments—glassier water, coastal wildlife sightings, and shoreline breaks that feel like a mini-expedition (without the rush). Let the coast set the pace.

Sunrise + Sunset SUP Serenity Sessions

Our days may begin and end with beautiful sunrise and sunset paddles—the kind that feel like a full-body reset. Bring your mug of something warm, glide out into the calm, and let the coast set the pace.

These sessions are intentionally gentle: an easy paddle, a quiet shoreline pause, then the option to melt into simple SUP yoga and peaceful meditation right on your board. No pressure to perform—if you’d rather just float, breathe, and soak in the views, that’s perfect too.

Deep breath… this is the moment you came for.

Heated Pool + Fire Pit Ocean Evenings

After a day on the water, we’ll lean into the coziest kind of recovery: ocean views, a heated pool, and a fire pit gathering that feels like instant community.

If you’re up for it, you can start with a refreshing ocean dip, then slide straight into the warm pool to thaw out and soften your shoulders. As the light fades over the harbour, we’ll gather fireside with new friends, salty hair, and a hot chocolate in hand—sharing stories, laughter, and that rare feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be.
