Black Star Travel Group, in partnership with The Adinkra Group, will host a curated journey through Ghana from December 23, 2025 to January 3, 2026. This trip coincides with Ghana’s vibrant “Detty December” season and features a mix of cultural immersion, historical education, and upscale entertainment. The itinerary spans Accra (capital city), the beach town of Ada Foah, the historic Cape Coast, and the rural community of Nyame Bekyere in the Eastern Region. Key highlights include VVIP access to the AfroFuture Festival (formerly Afrochella) – an immersive celebration of African art, music, and diaspora culture – exclusive nightlife events, and our signature “Durbar for the Diaspora” event with a traditional naming ceremony.

1. Complete the participant Info section, and pay your non-refundable deposit
To lock in your spot, you will be required to submit a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.
Your deposit amount will be applied toward the total cost of your trip. All deposits and packages are non-transferable.
2. Create an account to manage your package and add-ons
When checking out, you should check the box next to "Create an account to manage your booking online." This will allow you to edit, adjust your trip, and select add-ons at a later date.
3. Take note of the processing fees
When proceeding to payment, please expect to see a service fee if you pay by ACH or a 2.9% service fee if you pay by credit or debit card.
4. Manage payment over time
You can choose to set up automatic payments or go in monthly and make payments manually.
5. Once you purchase your flights, fill out the flight information located in the Participant Info section.
This form will collect information on your airline and arrival time into Ghana in order for us to be ready and waiting to receive you at the airport!
6. Look out for a confirmation email
Once we receive payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your receipt, payment plan information, and the option to purchase travel insurance for this trip.
Please note that most flights depart the day before arrival.
Most flights departing on December 23rd will arrive on December 24th, 2025.
Recommended flight arrive should be on December 24th before 6pm

You will fly into Kotoka International Airport in Accra. The airport code is ACC.

If your passport expires before August 5, 2026 - you need to get another passport.

Up to 90 days before departure, you are entitled to receive 50% of all monies paid after initial non-refundable deposit by sending trip cancellation in writing through this platform.

Spend the day unwinding by the pool, soaking in the sun, or exploring the lush surroundings of the property at your own pace. As evening falls, we’ll gather for a Christmas celebration on the beach—complete with a beachfront BBQ, celebratory toasts, music, and cool vibes under the stars.

We depart Accra in the early morning and journey to Nyame Bekyere, a vibrant village rich in tradition and community spirit. Here, you’ll take part in Durbar for the Diaspora, culminating in a personal Naming Ceremony—a moment of reconnection, honor, and ancestral welcome.
Afterward, enjoy a community feast and a joyful cultural exchange with local leaders, artists, and families—a day filled with rhythm, reflection, and celebration. In the evening, we return to Accra for an overnight stay at. our Accra home.

Our day begins with a morning departure as we explore Ghana’s Central Region to explore sites that speak to the deep resilience and history of the African Diaspora.
We begin at Assin Manso, home of the Last Bath Slave River, where enslaved Africans took their final bath before being sent to the coast. This sacred site invites quiet reflection and connection with the stories of perseverance and remembrance.
We continue to the Cape Coast Castle, one of the most significant dungeons in West Africa, for a powerful guided tour that brings Ghana’s history into sharp, emotional focus.
Afterward, we return to Oasis Beach Resort for a peaceful lunch by the ocean.
