RAFTING THE CHU RIVER (grade: 2-4). The Chu River that runs near the capital city of Bishkek is the most popular river for rafting tours in Kyrgyzstan. The river flows at over 1,500-meter elevation and the best season for a river rafting trip is from May to mid-September, when the water temperature fluctuates between 15-18 degrees Celsius. Part of the river runs through Boom Gorge, which is known throughout Central Asia to be the best training site for rafting. The river has easier access compared to other rivers and more manageable rapids. The most common tours last for 1-2 days, but longer ones that include several different rivers can be arranged.
We will start from Bishkek at 09:00 and drive to the Chui River side 140 km.
Duration of the rafting is 40 – 1 hrs.
Travel Plan
09:00. Meeting with the transport, pack and transfer to Boom Valley, 140 km, 2.5 hours
11:00. Meet up with the guide and explanation.
11:30. Rafting
14:00. Lunch
15:00. Transfer to Bishkek
17:00 Drop off in the city.
Individuals up to 6 pax can join the group rafting on Saturday and Sunday only.
Group of 7 pax, rafting can be arranged any day and date privately.
All participants must have swimming suites, towel, bottled water, lunch-box.
Conditions of the program:
Equipment: Participants must have their equipment such as waterproof clothes, desirable to have changing and warm clothes.
Physical requirements: Participants must be in good physical condition, but don’t need any special skills of Rafting.
