Depart from New York on an overnight flight to Ghana.
Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, proceed through immigration, claim your luggage, and clear customs.
Once you exit, you will meet our expert cultural tour guide. You will then drive through the streets of Accra straight to your hotel.
Your tour guide will provide a brief orientation on what to expect during this experience of a lifetime.

After a leisurely morning with breakfast, you’ll begin your day by visiting the Ghana National Museum, where you’ll explore exhibits that showcase the rich history and culture of Ghana.
Next, you’ll head to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, a park dedicated to Ghana’s first President. Here, you’ll find the tombs of both Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his wife, Madam Fathia Nkrumah, set amidst beautiful gardens and reflective pools.
Following this, your tour will take you to the bustling Arts Center where you can shop for unique souvenirs and crafts. You’ll have the opportunity to visit a few other shops in Accra, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture and perhaps pick up some memorable items. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner at the Zen Garden restaurant, known for its serene ambiance and delicious cuisine. After dinner, you’ll return to your hotel to relax and unwind

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, you will depart from Accra and head to Akosombo for an exciting day at Bridgeview Resort. Upon arrival, you can relax and explore the resort’s amenities.
Later in the day, you’ll embark on a scenic boat cruise on Lake Volta, taking in the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere.
After a day filled with fun and adventure, you will return to Accra, bringing back wonderful memories of your trip.

We will depart for Kumasi, the capital of the legendary Ashanti Nation and the cultural heart of Ghana. As we journey to Kumasi, we will make stops at three famous Ashanti craft villages, each offering a unique glimpse into traditional Ghanaian craftsmanship.
Our first stop will be Ahwiaa, the woodcarvers’ village. Here, Oak Plaza Suite
you’ll witness skilled artisans at work, carving intricate designs from wood. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase beautifully crafted wooden items directly from the craftsmen.
Next, we’ll visit Ntonso, the home of Adinkra. This village is renowned for its Adinkra cloth, which features symbolic patterns and designs. You’ll see demonstrations of the traditional stamping process and learn about the meanings behind the various Adinkra symbols. This is a perfect place to buy authentic Adinkra cloth and
other related items.
Our final stop before reaching Kumasi will be Bonwire, the Kente weaving village. Bonwire is famous for its vibrant Kente cloth, a handwoven fabric that holds significant cultural importance in Ghana. You’ll observe weavers at their looms, creating intricate patterns with colorful threads. This is a wonderful opportunity to
purchase Kente cloth directly from the weavers and learn about the history and significance of this iconic fabric.
After our visits to these craft villages, we will continue our journey to Kumasi. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel, where you can relax and unwind after a day filled with cultural exploration and shopping.

After breakfast, your tour today will begin at 11am with a visit to theManhyia Palace Museum. This historic palace, now a museum, houses a fascinating collection of relics from the Asantehene, dating back tothe reign of the first King of the Ashantis, His Majesty Nana Osei Tutu I, who was crowned in 1701. As you explore the museum, you’ll gain insight into the rich history and culture of the Ashanti Kingdom.
Following the museum visit, we’ll head to Kejetia Market, one of the largest open-air markets in West Africa. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to shop for a variety of goods, from traditional crafts and textiles to fresh produce and spices. The vibrant atmosphere and bustling activity of the market provide a unique glimpse into daily life in Kumasi.
Next, we’ll transfer to the National Cultural Center, where you’ll visit the Prempeh II Museum. This museum offers a deeper understanding of Ashanti history and culture, with exhibits that include royal regalia, traditional artifacts, and historical photographs. The museum is named after Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II, a former Asantehene who played a significant role in modernizing the Ashanti Kingdom.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner at Ike’s Cultural Village Restaurant, known for its delicious local cuisine and cultural ambiance. After dinner, you’ll return to your hotel to relax and prepare for the next day’s trip to Cape Coast and Elmina.

After an early breakfast, we will depart for the Central Region. A few miles from Cape Coast, we’ll stop at Assin Manso to visit the African Diaspora Ancestral Shrine and the River of Last Bath. Assin Manso is historically significant as the place where captive Africans were brought to rest and given their last bath before being taken to the various dungeons along the coast. On the compound, you’ll find the ancestral graves of two notable figures: Crystal, a Jamaican woman who fought against racism, and Samuel Carson, an African American Naval Officer. Their remains were brought back through the Door of No Return in 1998, which was subsequently renamed The Door of Return.
We will then continue our journey to Cape Coast. Upon arrival, we’ll
check into your beachfront hotel, where you can relax and enjoy the
beautiful surroundings.

After a leisurely morning with breakfast, we’ll start our day with a visit to the Cape Coast castle, a UNESCO world heritage site. The castle is a thought-provoking monument to a harrowing period in the region’s history. You will take an emotional journey through the castle which held more enslaved Africans than any other in the region, viewing the dungeons and the infamous “Door of no return”. There is a significant historical museum inside, which explains the history of the castle and of Cape Coast itself. You can purchase literature on Ghana’s forts and castles, as well as the cultural history and traditions of Ghana.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Kakum National Rain Forest Park for an adventure. Challenge yourself by walking the seven bridges over the rainforest canopy, or enjoy hiking and walking the trails.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will head to the Church on Purpose. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to observe and actively participate in various church activities.
After lunch, you’ll head to the Chief’s Palace for the Naming Ceremony. Participants should bring white outfits to wear for the ceremony, as the dress code is ALL WHITE.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel. Prepare for the next day’s departure back to Accra.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the hotel in the late morning and departing for Accra. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Today is at leisure but with the assistance of your driver and guide; decide on your excursions and activities. Visit the sites in Accra and vicinity that you have not yet seen.
