About your trip

This is not just a trek - it’s a pilgrimage of purpose, a soulful adventure!

Join Women Light the World on a transformative journey (click for itinerary here) to the remote mountains of Humla, Nepal— where breathtaking Himalayan serenity meets profound grassroots empowerment and lasting change.

As you move through the Himalayas, you’ll witness the extraordinary resilience of local women—our Solar Mamas—who are leading a renewable energy revolution in some of the world’s most remote villages. Walk alongside these trailblazing women as you immerse yourself in Humla’s resilient spirit—and rediscover the light within yourself. Even more, this journey gives back: a portion of the proceeds will help electrify 153 off-grid households in Jumla, Nepal. Every step you take helps light the way forward!

The trek offers participants an immersive experience into the heart of Nepal. From the shamanic fire ceremony to sharing local meals under the stars, each moment is crafted to reconnect you with nature, with community, and with yourself.

As you witness the beginnings of a women-led energy revolution, you’ll also be welcomed into the rhythms of daily life of the communities you support. Join in a heartfelt Humli-style Earth Day celebration, sipping ‘Chaang’—a traditional brew paired with freshly harvested wild mountain honey, crisp apple chips and rich yak cheese. These shared moments of flavor and fellowship will leave a lasting imprint on both heart and soul.

After the trek, drift into tranquility with a two-day luxury wellness retreat in Pokhara at the serene Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge—offering yoga, meditation, sound healing, bird watching, and restorative moments in the quiet embrace of the Himalayas.

This unique journey is further enriched with educational talks by prominent Nepali climate leaders, spiritual immersion at sacred sites like the Buddha Stupa, and cultural explorations through the vibrant and historic cities of Kathmandu and Pokhara.

This is your invitation to walk for a cause—celebrating Himalayan splendor while committing to its preservation. Join us — and let this sacred journey turn your presence into purpose — one step, one village, one light at a time!
