A 7-night Wellness Retreat
Immerse in Awareness:
Yoga, Meditation & Transformation in Nature's Wisdom
Join us for a week of embodied connection at Playa Viva—an award-winning eco-luxury sanctuary nestled between the vast Pacific Ocean and a protected Marine Turtle Sanctuary on Mexico’s southwest coast. Surrounded by 200 acres of vibrant tropical ecosystem and a 20-acre permaculture farm, you'll sleep in treehouses suspended among palms, rise with the sun, and let nature guide you home.
This retreat is more than a pause—it’s a full sensory awakening. Guided by the rhythms of the ocean and the wisdom of the elements, each day invites you into movement, stillness, and wonder. Through yoga asana, breath work, Ayurvedic insight, and meditation, we return to what is essential—what has always been within us.
Together, we’ll explore the five elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—as portals to deeper awareness, balance, and presence. This journey invites you to move, feel, rest, and reconnect with your inner nature and the world around you.
Playa Viva offers the perfect setting for this transformational journey:
• 200 acres of raw beauty with a secluded beach
• Farm-to-table meals crafted from their on-site permaculture farm
• Award-winning treehouses with open-air design and ocean view
• Two oceanside yoga shalas, a spa with beachfront massage huts, and a deep commitment to sustainability
• One of the highest-rated B-Corp certified hotels in the world, Playa Viva redefines luxury as regenerative, responsible, and heart-centered
This retreat is co-created in harmony with the values we share with Playa Viva—grounded in nature, community, and conscious living. With an emphasis on spaciousness and flow, our days will move organically with the rhythm of the ocean and the needs of the group. There will be space to restore, to explore, to reflect—and simply to be.
A Glimpse Into the Flow
Each day of the retreat is inspired by one of the five elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—offering a rhythm of balance, creativity, and deep presence. A sample daily flow:
Morning and evening yoga
Elemental rituals and guided awareness practices
Ayurvedic insights woven into nourishing, seasonal meals and movement
Optional experiences: Reiki, cacao ceremony, local adventures and cultural offerings: snorkeling, farm tour, turtle release, massage by the sea, bonfire, visit to the salt flats, surfing, SUP, or simply resting under the palms
A retreat to remember who you are.
To restore your natural energy.
To reconnect with the joy of being fully alive.
A space where everyone is welcome. No experience needed—just come as you are.
Set on 200 acres of wild coastline, jungle, and secluded beach, Playa Viva invites you to sleep in open-air treehouses—all with sweeping ocean views—rise with the sun, and reconnect with your natural rhythm.
Playa Viva is one of the highest-rated B-Corp certified eco-hotels in the world—featured in The New York Times, National Geographic, Travel + Leisure, and more.
Much of the accommodation is shared—shared with others and, occasionally, with the local wildlife. These spaces are more than just a place to rest; they invite connection, laughter, and the sharing of stories, creating a richer collective experience at Playa Viva.
Jennifer Hoover is a compassionate, hands-on teacher with over 20 years of experience in systems-based yoga. Informed by Ayurveda and a deep love of the practice, Jenn brings clarity, care, and heartfelt guidance to this transformational week by the sea. She is also the owner of Hot House Yoga in Missoula, Montana, where she has cultivated a vibrant community for the past 15 years.
Cheyenne Rivers is a yoga and meditation teacher, Reiki practitioner, writer, and lifelong student of awareness-based traditions. With over 26 years of experience, she offers Anusara-informed Hatha, Yin, and Restorative classes that integrate functional mobility, body wisdom, and deep rest. Cheyenne has taught globally—in Europe and online—guiding others toward restoration, connection, and natural awareness.

Because we are responsible for the total accommodation fees regardless of attendance, all payments are non-refundable unless you are able to find someone to fill your spot. If you're unable to attend, we’ll do our best to help you find a replacement, but the final financial responsibility is yours.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and commitment. Thank you for joining us on this meaningful journey.
While your retreat package includes daily yoga, nourishing meals, and beautiful accommodations, you’ll also have the option to personalize your experience with additional offerings. Spa and massage services, fresh coconuts, smoothies, bar beverages, and boutique purchases are available on-site and can be billed individually to your room. We’re also planning a few optional group excursions to explore the local area—these will come with an additional fee and will be announced in advance.
For those traveling from Missoula: For the most seamless and cost-effective travel, we suggest departing Missoula on Friday, February 20, 2026, and flying to either Seattle or San Francisco, spending the night, and then catching a more direct flight to ZIH (Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport) the next day. We’re currently exploring the idea of a casual meet-up in one or both of these cities before the retreat begins—if that sounds fun to you, stay tuned as plans evolve!
You’ll be responsible for booking and covering the cost of your own flights and any overnight accommodations on the front or back end of the trip.
For your return, we recommend flying out of ZIH on Saturday, February 28, spending the night again in your U.S. gateway city, and continuing onto Missoula on Sunday, March 1.
Please plan to arrive at Playa Viva in time for our welcome dinner on February 21—exact time to be announced.
More coordinated travel tips and suggestions will be shared as our group comes together!
