In 2026, Global Teacher will launch its inaugural Sri Lanka Teacher Training Program, combining meaningful professional development with rich cultural immersion. From the bustling streets of Colombo to the tranquil coastline of Batticaloa, and the misty hills of Kandy, this journey offers educators the chance to engage directly with local schools while exploring some of the island’s most iconic and untouched locations. Over 10 days, you’ll collaborate with Sri Lankan teachers in a local K–8 school, share your skills through workshops, and take part in experiences that highlight the country’s history, resilience, and natural beauty. Whether it’s riding a scenic train across the countryside, presenting a workshop to fellow educators, or walking alongside elephants at an ethical sanctuary—this program promises both professional and personal transformation.
By registering for this program you confirm that you have read and agree to the Global Teacher Terms & Conditions: https://www.globalteacher.com.au//terms-and-conditions.html
This experience is part of our Teacher Training Program, designed for educators who want to be fully immersed in a local school setting, with a strong focus on sharing professional practice. It can be both challenging and deeply rewarding — ideal for those looking for a more hands-on and impactful experience.
