Arrive in Port Vila and settle into your seaside accommodation. Meet your team leader and fellow participants, and take part in a welcome briefing and dinner to prepare for the week ahead.
Spend five days in a local school, working alongside a partner teacher to support classroom learning and share teaching strategies. Mornings are focused on observing, co-teaching, and gradually leading lessons, while afternoons allow time for reflection, planning, or exploring the community.
This placement offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the local education system, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to professional learning in a supportive, culturally respectful way. You’ll be guided throughout by a Global Teacher team leader and local partners, ensuring a smooth and rewarding experience.
Enjoy a full-day cultural and adventure experience on Lelepa Island. Snorkel, kayak, explore local caves, and relax on white-sand beaches.
Explore the natural beauty of Efate, including the Blue Lagoon, waterfalls, and a visit to a traditional Ni-Vanuatu village.
