Ready to live out your tropical island dreams? This all-girls Maldives trip is all about ocean adventures, authentic local culture, and creating meaningful moments by the sea.

We’ll be based in little local island Omadhoo, Maldives for 8 days. This trip is about showing a different side of the Maldives — one that’s local, grounded, and more budget-friendly than the big luxury resorts most travelers see. We'll go headfirst into the wild beauty of the ocean freediving alongside whale sharks and manta rays, discovering deserted islands, snorkeling vibrant reefs, and learning traditional Maldivian arts and crafts. We’ll also spend a relaxing day at a 5-star resort for drinks and amenities — not because this is a luxury trip, but to experience the Maldives in a way most travelers only dream of, while staying rooted in local culture and ocean magic.

This trip is for the explorers, the connection seekers, and anyone craving an adventure that’s both exhilarating and grounding. Expect a perfect blend of ocean exploration, cultural immersion, and girlhood in a destination that’s truly unforgettable.

As always, I built this trip based on my own experiences in Omadhoo earlier this year — of course, with all the details handled (accommodation, activities, transport, ocean guides, and meals), so all you have to worry about is which swimsuits you're going to bring :)

Island life, Maldives edition... we're coming for ya!

Touchdown in Male, Maldives... and a 1.5 hour speedboat transfer to local island Omadhoo — our cozy home away from home for the next 8 days. After settling into the beautiful Hitha guesthouse and getting a tour of the island, we’ll kick things off with a relaxed sunset beach walk and a welcome dinner overlooking the ocean. It’s the perfect chance to unwind, meet the rest of the girls, and soak in the island vibes!

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the guesthouse before we gear up for an unforgettable adventure — freediving alongside gentle whale sharks in their natural habitat. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, too — they sometimes swim by, adding to the magic of the day! After an exhilarating ocean experience, we’ll gather for a relaxed dinner to share stories and soak in the island vibe. And if we’re up for it, our guesthouse is just steps from a beach perfect for stargazing... a peaceful way to end the day under the Maldivian night sky.

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast to fuel up for the day. Then, embark on an exciting manta ray freediving and snorkeling adventure — experience the grace and beauty of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat (my favorite animal in the whole entire world). In the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner on the beach followed by the fun and quirky hermit crab race, a lighthearted local tradition to end the day.

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast before island hopping over for a fun day on a deserted island. Here, we will snorkel in the reefs, relax on the pristine beaches, and climb up on their palm tree tire swing for a photo or two. Then, we'll enjoy a light lunch amidst the stunning scenery, and make sure to keep an eye out for marine life like turtles and dolphins on the boat ride back to Omadhoo!

For the rest of the afternoon, we'll have some leisure time— tanning, swimming at Bikini Beach, and grab a refreshing smoothie from the nearby juice shack. Finally, we'll finish the day off with a relaxed dinner under the stars!

Starting our morning together with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a two-point snorkeling adventure to explore more of the vibrant marine life around Omadhoo. Afterward, we will immerse ourselves in Maldivian culture with a traditional Kasabu weaving class led by local artisans. Kasabu is a natural material crafted from the fibers of native trees. Guided step by step, we'll learn how to transform this material into beautiful and functional items such as mats, baskets, and decorative pieces.

Did you realize we're more than halfway through with the trip already? We'll finish the day with another local delicious dinner, share our favorite moments from the week so far, and enjoy another night under the stars!

After a relaxed breakfast, we’ll set out on an exciting island-hopping trip to a gorgeous 5-star resort on Machchafushi Island. Once there, we'll have all day to enjoy both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as we unwind by the pool or relax on the beautiful beaches. Take your time to lounge on sunbeds, soak up the sunshine, and feel totally at ease. There’s also access to cozy indoor gaming and lounge areas—perfect for chatting or just chilling out. We’ll share a delicious fancy lunch together before heading back to Omadhoo in the late afternoon. As the sun sets, enjoy live music during dinner and let the melodies add a special touch to our day of indulgence and relaxation!

Kick off your day with a relaxing breakfast, then spend your day exploring the charming island of Omadhoo at your own pace. Take a stroll along the beaches, discover hidden spots, or simply unwind and soak in the peaceful island ambiance. Later in the afternoon, join a traditional coconut palm leaves weaving class—learn how local artisans craft beautiful items from this natural material, connecting with the cultural heritage of the Maldives.

Afterwards, join us for a beach cleanup—an opportunity to give back and leave the island even more beautiful. As evening falls, gather for a heartfelt farewell dinner featuring authentic Maldivian cuisine, accompanied by the sounds of Boduberu music. It’s a meaningful celebration of our trip together and a perfect way to end this week of memorable island adventures!

We'll make our way out of Omadhoo on a speedboat back to Male. Our ending point will be at Male Velana International Airport (VIA) afternoon/early evening.  

Departures and next adventures begin from here—with camera rolls full and hearts even fuller. As always It's a "see you later, not a goodbye"!
