Desert wildflowers cannot be manufactured.
They arrive only when rainfall, temperature, and timing align.
This season, conditions are strong.
Rainfall totals across the Amargosa Basin and surrounding canyonlands indicate a promising spring bloom.
While no bloom can ever be guaranteed, this year’s patterns are now confirmed and booking is open.
A Different Bloom Experience
Unlike the heavily visited bloom zones inside Death Valley National Park, our guided experiences focus on quieter terrain:
• Hidden washes
• Historic railroad grades
• River corridors
• Volcanic outcrops
• Protected desert fields few visitors see
Cynthia has guided bloom seasons since the legendary 2005 “100-year bloom.” Each promising year is carefully scouted and selectively hosted.
Wildflowers typically:
• Emerge in late February at the lowest elevations
• Peak across the Amargosa Basin in March
• Extend into April at elevations up to 2,000 feet
We follow the bloom as the season climbs.
Because desert bloom windows are brief and weather-driven, space is limited.
A focused overview of current wildflower regions, route suggestions, timing considerations, and terrain awareness to support independent exploration.
