The Ride
Turn your Death Valley vacation up a notch with a guided UTV adventure tour! Curated for a maximum of 3 vehicles up to 12 riders we begin in the vast Mojave Desert, and work our way up to the Nopah Mountain Range. High atop limestone ridges you will scan your eyes over the exact same scenery that Spanish explorers saw when first arriving in California in 1829. We then drive past eons of geological mountain building that brought the gold, silver, lead, borax, gypsum, and iron to the surface. Next we ride on the old railroad grade that takes us back 150 years to remnants of the gold rush era. There we stop at a mine dating back to the 1860’s. The 2nd stop will be deep in the Amargosa Canyon at the hidden China Ranch natural oasis. Although there will be times to drive fast, this tour is not all about speed. You will encounter different types of terrain requiring slower speeds and some maneuvering. The mines have not been maintained for over 50 years making them potentially unstable, so we will not be going inside. However, the outside of the entrance is just as interesting. Contact us for more information about our guided UTV tours.
2025 Polaris RZR XP 1000-4 accommodates up to 4 riders. The rate per vehicle is the same for 1st and 2nd riders. Additional for 3rd and 4th riders.
Plan on the tour to take 3 hours. 30 minutes signing wavers, getting outfitted with safety gear and a pre-ride briefing. 90 minutes of drive time and 40 minutes at the stops. These are rough estimates and will be more likely to be longer than shorter, time durations will very depending on the group for that tour.
