Celebrate the season of renewal with a cozy weekend getaway at the River Otter cabin at Wolf Den Nature Retreat in Algonquin! From March 27–29, we’ll shake off winter, get outside, and reconnect with nature, yourself, and each other. Expect fresh air and a fresh start as spring unfolds.

Notes and Disclaimers

  • This retreat is a back-to-basics experience designed for simplicity and connection.

  • Shared accommodations: Participants will be in double beds in a shared room or bunk beds.

  • Please come with an open mind, warm layers, and a sense of adventure. Comfort looks a little different in the winter woods.

  • An email will be sent to all participants the week prior to the event with full details of the retreat.

What to Bring

  • Snowshoes or winter footwear for Mizzy Lake Trail hike

  • Swimsuit and towel for cedar log sauna

  • Personal toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap

  • Personal items – comfortable clothing, warm layers, electronics, book/journal

  • Yoga gear – mat, blocks, strap, blanket, bolster (if available)

  • Coffee mug

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Snacks

  • Headlamp

  • Camp chair

Cancellation Policy

  • 30+ days out: Full refund

  • 14–29 days: 50% refund; 13 days or fewer: non-refundable.

  • Transfers: You may transfer your spot up to 24 hours before.

    5% processing fees are non-refundable for all refunds

  • 4:30 PM – Welcome Circle & Meet + Greet

  • 5:00 PM – Journaling Prompts (quiet reflection + optional sharing)

  • 5:30 PM – Gentle Flow Yoga (arrive and settle into the weekend) 🧘‍♀️

  • 6:30 – 7:00 PM – Free Time

  • 7:00 PM – Dinner

  • 8:00 PM – Fire Building Techniques Workshop

  • 8:30 PM – Campfire Social 🔥

  • 10:00 PM – Quiet Time

Saturday, March 28

  • 8:00 AM – Camp Coffee Workshop (Learn different brew methods: pour-over, aeropress, cowboy coffee)

  • 8:30 AM – Buffet Breakfast

  • 9:30 AM – Vinyasa Flow Yoga

  • 10:30 AM – Snowshoe Hike: Mizzy Lake Trail
    Drive ~30 minutes to the trailhead. Hike length ~11 km (plan for ~4–5 hours with breaks; snowshoes and/or crampons with winter footwear required). Participants are responsible for bringing their own lunch and water bottle).

  • Includes Outdoor Mini-Meditation Session

  • 3:00–4:00 PM – Free Time (cedar log sauna, explore, rest)

  • 4:00 – 6:00 PM – Arts & Crafts Workshop (create a keepsake of your retreat weekend)

  • 6:00 PM – Dinner and Mocktails

  • 7:00 PM – Restorative Yin Yoga

  • 8:00 PM – Journaling Session

  • 8:30 PM – Campfire Social

  • 9:30 PM – Board Games or Cards (Optional)

  • 10:30 PM – Quiet Time
