An Arizona native, Alison calls the Sonoran Desert home. She is a master’s level Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and wellness expert with advanced training in whole food, plant-based nutrition. In 2012, she co-authored her first book, Go Beyond Good: The Trail to a Lifetime of Health and Vitality! That same year, she joined the online instructor team at the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, where she ultimately served as Director of Wellness Programs.
With a passion for education and empowerment, Alison has spent nearly 25 years helping others cultivate lasting health. She has led a variety of lectures and workshops at Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa and worked across diverse settings, from classrooms to corporations, as an author, college instructor, middle and high school health teacher, and workplace wellness professional. Alison is also a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher, a registered yoga teacher, and a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Monique Richard is an internationally experienced dietitian specializing in counseling, integrative medicine, consulting, and nutrition communication services. Monique is also a registered yoga teacher and integrates many holistic, mindful components into her coaching and services. Her personalized, integrative approach to nutrition provides an individualized prescription for health and well-being.
Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Ball State University. She then completed her Master of Science in Dietetics and her Dietetic Internship at Ball State University. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Exercise Physiologist. Throughout her career, she has worked in clinical weight loss, bariatrics, higher education, corporate wellness, personal training, long-term care, and cardiac rehabilitation. She is driven to help others break free from the diet roller coaster, stop trying to look like what society imposes on them, and achieve optimal health through therapeutic lifestyle changes.

What airport is closest? The Tucson airport is the closest. Phoenix airport is an option with the Groome shuttle service or car rental to get to Tucson.
What is the expected weather? Nights can be cool, dress in layers, and bring a light jacket
What should I bring? Reusable water bottle, comfortable clothes to stretch, hike, and interact with horses, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes or hiking shoes. Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Do I need Travel Insurance? Travel insurance is a personal decision. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance with a cancellation option to protect your investment. One option is Travel Insured International.
