Day 0: Arrival to Areopoli

Day 1: Areopoli – Skoutari – Kotronas – Areopoli (D: 56.5 KM – Elev.g: 1150m)
A rugged Mani loop from Areopoli through Skoutari and Kotrona blending coastal stretches, traditional stone , and the wild character of the peninsula before returning to Areopoli
Day 2: Areopoli – Gerolimeni – Diros – Areopoli (D: 66.4 km – Elev.g: 1050m)
A dramatic Mani loop from Areopolito Gerolimenas and Diros combining Cliffside coastal sections , tower house villages, and region’s unique wild scenery before circling back to Areopoli.
Day 3: Areopoli – Agios Kyprianos - Areopoli (D: 72.2 km – Elev. G: 1282m)
A serene seaside loop from Areopoli to Agios Kyprianos , weaving through quiet coves, stone-built hamlets , and gentle coastal roads before returning to Areopoli.
Day 4: Areopoli – Gythio – Areopoli (D: 62.7 km – Elev.g:1065m)
A varied loop from Areopoli to Gythio , blending rolling inland sections, coastal views , and traditional Laconian charm before heading back to Areopoli.
Day 5: Areopoli – Stoypa – Kardamyli – Areopoli (D: 89.7 km – Elev.g: 1526m)
A diverse coastal-mountain loop from Areopoli to Stoupa and Kardamyli , combining smooth seaside riding. Mani’s stone-built villages, and scenic climbs before returning to Areopoli.
Day 6: Areopoli - Oitilo – Kato Karea – Vachos – Areopoli (D: 51.1 km – Elev.g: 1205m)
A characterful Mani loop from Areopoli through Oitylo, Kato Karea and Vachos , blending secluded bays, terraced hillsides and tower house settlements before return to Areopoli.
Day 7: Departure
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Areopoli with a wonderful breakfast before your departure.
Reaching Areopoli, the heart of the Mani Peninsula, is easier than most travellers expect. Located in the southern Peloponnese, it is accessible by road from major airports and cities, offering scenic routes and flexible travel options.

Kalamata International Airport (KLX) – the most convenient option, offering seasonal international flights and domestic connections.
Athens International Airport (ATH) – open year-round with the widest choice of international arrivals.
From either airport, you can reach Areopoli by rental car, minibus, taxi transfer, or public transport.
By car rental:
