Start your day early by watching the magical sunrise over Uluru from the Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing platform. The colors of the sky and the rock formation gradually change, offering a breathtaking start to your adventure.
Uluru Base Walk
After the sunrise, embark on the Uluru Base Walk, which is approximately 10.6 km around the base of the rock. Along the way, you'll witness ancient rock formations, caves, and Aboriginal rock art that tell stories of the Anangu people. Make sure to bring plenty of water, sun protection, and comfortable shoes.
Visit the Mutitjulu Waterhole
Along the base walk, stop at Mutitjulu Waterhole, a peaceful and culturally significant site. Learn about the stories of Kuniya and Liru through the rock art, which adds another layer to your understanding of Uluru's spiritual importance.
Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre
Spend your afternoon at the Cultural Centre to gain deeper insights into the Aboriginal culture and history of the region. Explore the interactive exhibits, view traditional art, and watch cultural demonstrations.
Kata Tjuta Dune Viewing Area

Sunset at Uluru
End your day by watching the sunset at the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area. As the sun sets, the rock’s colour transitions into deeper shades of red and purple, offering a completely different perspective from sunrise.
Valley of the Winds Walk
a challenging but rewarding 7.4 km trail. The walk offers spectacular views of the towering rock domes and provides insights into the area’s geological history. There are shorter walk options available as well, such as the Karu Lookout, for those looking for a less strenuous hike.
