Transform your passion for diving into a professional career with the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) in Playas del Coco -Costa Rica.

This course prepares you to teach all recreational levels of scuba diving programs and leads to an internationally recognized Instructor certification.

Train with experienced SSI Instructor Trainers in a supportive environment in Playas del Coco. With small groups, personalized feedback, and real-world training scenarios, you’ll gain the confidence and skills needed to succeed as a dive professional.

To enroll our ITC candidates must:

·      Minimum age: 18 years old

·      SSI Divemaster rating or an equivalent rating from a recognized agency in active status

·      SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40 Certification or equivalent

·      Logged at least 100 open water dives

·      RSTC Medical Statement signed by a physician within one (1) year

·      Proof of CPR/First Aid & Oxygen First Aid training within two (2) years

·      Be an Open Water Diver or higher for at least six (6) months prior to starting the Instructor Evaluation

As a future Dive Professional it is mandatory to own your own set of personal equipment and you cannot start the ITC without them !

You need: Mask, fins, snorkel, BCD, regulator, long/short wetsuit 3 or 5 mm, dive computer, DSMB, compass, knife / divers’ tool, sound device (whistle). ​
