Rooted in purpose and enhanced by nature, Yoga Ethos retreats are an opportunity to live yoga as a way of life. Join E-RYT 500 Heather Koa (Solomon) and her husband Kevin Koa for 8 days and 7 nights of rejuvenation at the Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort in Nosara, Costa Rica.
This retreat is an artistic journey designed to support a holistic yoga lifestyle. Throughout the week, align your yoga practice with the ancient pulse nature. Through daily yoga classes and workshops we will explore how the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether) influence your body, mind, and energy. We'll view ourselves through the lens of Ayurvedic science, and learn lifestyle habits that create balance in your daily life and enrich overall wellbeing.
Classes styles include vinyasa flows, stabilizing hatha, grounding yin, and soulful meditation. Several classes will include live music from Kevin Koa. His instrumental guitar and rhythmic percussion weave melodic layers that rise and fall with each breath creating a soundscape that elevates the atmosphere of the class.
Between sessions we'll share an abundance of freshly prepared organic meals. Retreat packages include daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets with options for everyone, whether you're an omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, or have specific preferences. The kitchen staff takes pride in offering nutrient dense, creative, and delicious food.
Our schedule has built in blocks of free time for you to choose any extra curricular activities you desire. The resort has some amazing features that provide options for both relaxation and adventure; spa services (massage, facials, pedicures), salt water pools, boat tours, walking distance to Guiones beach (pacific ocean), surf lessons, wild life sanctuary tour, wight lifting gym, extra yoga classes and sound bath sessions, .
This is a week to Embody Nature's Rhythm, and return to your natural state of being. You'll find the structure and spaciousness you need for healing and rejuvenation. Come for movement, nourishment, and a deeper connection to your true nature.

Upon arrival to the Bodhi Tree you will be greeted with fresh coconut water and check in at the front desk. Once settled into your room you are welcome to mingle around the resort. We will have our first dinner together in the evening. Day 2 we'll have a slow morning and begin our daily yoga classes.
Water element inspires us to go with the flow. Our classes, workshops, and trips to the beach will help invite the qualities of water into our consciousness.
Fire is a powerful element that brings light, warmth, and transformation. The pacific coast of Costa Rica shares the most beautiful sunsets. We'll connect with the energy of fire element through the heat of the day, and sun gazing in the evenings.
Air element or wind is subtle and invisible, but has a profound impact on everything. Wind drives the movement in our bodies and in the world around us. Throughout the week you'll learn to work with the power of your breath through various Yoga & meditation practices.
Ether or space is the foundation for all matter. As we come towards the end of the week, take time to reflect on the insights you've gained in classes and conversations. Carry the experience in your heart when you return home.
A key piece of the retreat is taking time to slow down and integrate the movement, meditation, and intellectual stimulation. Our hope is that you leave the retreat inspired to incorporate new habits into your day to day life.
Be sure to finalize any room charges, and formally check-out of the Bodhi Tree the night before you leave. We will walk you through check-out procedures.
