February and March fall in Costa Rica's dry season, especially along the Guanacaste coast. Expect warm, sunny days in the mid-80s °F with gentle ocean breezes and comfortable evenings. Light tropical rain is possible, so a light rain jacket or poncho is helpful.
Pack sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses—the coastal sun can be strong.
No special vaccines are required; routine immunizations should be up to date.
Filtered drinking water will be available at the villa, and bottled water is also provided.
Insect repellent is recommended for outdoor activities, especially at dusk.
Pack any essential medications in your carry-on luggage in original containers.

Costa Rica uses standard 110V U.S.-style outlets, so no adapter is needed for travelers from North America.
Cell service is generally reliable in the area near Playa Hermosa. Check with your provider to determine if they offer international coverage options.
Costa Ricans ("Ticos") are known for being warm, kind, and welcoming.
"Pura vida" is more than a phrase—it reflects the relaxed, joyful lifestyle. Embrace it.
Basic Spanish greetings, such as hola (hello) and gracias (thank you), go a long way.
Dress modestly and casually when visiting local towns or rural communities.
Notify your bank before traveling internationally to avoid declined card transactions.
A daypack is useful for carrying essentials such as water and sunscreen during excursions.
Don't overpack—light, breathable layers are ideal for coastal weather.
Expect wildlife, warm hospitality, and time to disconnect—Costa Rica shines when you slow down and soak it all in.
