Wednesday, September 24 - Welcome to Ireland

 Upon arrival at Shannon Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our driver and guide, who will accompany you to our private coach.  Our first stop is for breakfast or lunch at the McWilliam Hotel in Claremorris.  We will travel north to Donegal and check into our base The  Mill Park Hotel for the next four nights. This welcoming hotel offers modern amenities and a serene setting to relax after our travels. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a delicious welcome dinner as we toast to the beginning of our Irish adventure.

Thursday, September 25 - KILLYBEGS & SLIEVE LEAGUE SEA CLIFFS

After breakfast, travel through Killybegs, one of Ireland’s busiest fishing ports, with its picturesque harbor and vibrant seafaring culture. Continue through the village of Teelin to the awe-inspiring Slieve League Cliffs, one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs. Admire the dramatic views as the cliffs plunge nearly 2,000 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, offering vistas that surpass even the iconic Cliffs of Moher.


We will journey through the ruggedly beautiful Glencolmcille, known for its

vibrant arts and crafts scene, before arriving in Ardara for lunch. Visit Triona

Design, is a family-run business where you can observe traditional hand-weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations. We will conclude the day with a scenic drive through Glengesh Pass, a winding mountain route with breathtaking views, and enjoy a leisurely stroll in Donegal Town, rich in history and charm. Enjoy one of the many restaurants or pubs in town for dinner.

Friday, September 26 - GLENVEAGH NATIONAL PARK & GWEEDORE

 Start the day with breakfast before heading to Glenveagh National Park, a 40,000-acre expanse of unspoiled wilderness in the Derryveagh Mountains. Explore this serene landscape of pristine lakes, rolling hills, and lush glens, home to Ireland’s largest red deer herd. A highlight is Glenveagh Castle, a 19th-century mansion surrounded by ornate gardens, offering a glimpse into Ireland’s aristocratic past.

We then travel to Gweedore, the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking

region). En route, marvel at Mount Errigal, Donegal’s highest peak. Enjoy a hearty

lunch at Leo's Tavern, the ancestral home of renowned musicians Clannad and

Enya, where the walls are lined with memorabilia celebrating their international

success. Enjoy dinner in one of the many pubs or restaurants in the town tonight.

Saturday, September 27 - FREE DAY IN DONEGAL TOWN

Today, enjoy a free day to explore Donegal Town, a picturesque Irish gem. Begin with a visit to the historic Donegal Castle, a beautifully restored 15th-century fortress with stunning views of the River Eske.  Stroll through The Diamond, the lively town center, where you’ll find quaint shops, traditional pubs, and cozy cafes perfect for browsing or enjoying local fare. Take a peaceful walk along the banks of the River Eske or explore the nearby ruins of the Abbey of Donegal, steeped in history.

Enjoy dinner with the group at the hotel tonight.

Sunday, September 28 - BELLEEK POTTERY & FOXFORD WOOLLEN MILLS

Check out of the Mill Park Hotel after breakfast you will discover the secrets that have made Belleek Pottery one of the most enduring success stories of Irish craftsmanship. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour to see how this world-famous fine China is made. Along the way, we will stop at Strandhill Beach, a stunning expanse of golden sand nestled against the Atlantic Ocean, popular with surfers and beachcombers alike for lunch at The Strand Bar.  Continue to Foxford Woollen Mills, a historic mill where you’ll take a guided tour and hear the inspiring story of how this enterprise overcame challenges to become one of Ireland’s leading producers of fine textiles. Discover the art of wool weaving and shop for exquisite Irish-made goods. Enjoy dinner with the group at the hotel tonight.

Monday, September 29 - ACHILL ISLAND & NORTH MAYO

We will visit Achill Island, Ireland’s largest offshore island, connected to the

mainland by a bridge. Achill boasts rugged cliffs, rolling hills, and pristine

beaches. We will stop at  , a horseshoe-shaped cove with turquoise

waters framed by towering cliffs. After exploring Achill, enjoy a lunch

(included) before continuing through the unspoiled beauty of north Mayo.

Return to Westport to enjoy one of the restaurants or pubs in town for dinner.

Tuesday, September 30th - WESTPORT FOODIE TOUR

After breakfast we will meet our guide for a Walking Foodie Tour. Enjoy Irish Poitin in

front of an open turf fire and get to pull your pint! We will visit Westport’s oldest fish and chip shop for traditional fish and chips paired with local craft beer. We'll wander through the tree lined river and sample local sweet treats like handmade fudge and Westport honey. We'll then visit one of Irelands best music pubs and have a glass of local special paired with meats and cheeses from Westport’s award-winning charcuterie.  We will visit a 4th generation ice cream maker to finish the tour. Return to Westport  and enjoy one of the many restaurants or pubs in town for dinner.

Wednesday, October 1 - CONNEMARA, KILLARY FJORD CRUISE & JOYCE COUNTRY

Travel through beautiful Connemara, known for its wild landscapes, via Louisburgh, Doo Lough, and Delphi Valley. Stop to admire the cascading Aasleagh Falls before boarding a boat to cruise along Killary Fjord, Ireland’s only fjord. Enjoy lunch onboard while soaking in the stunning scenery. We will visit Joyce Country Sheep Farm, where we’ll witness a traditional sheepdog demonstration and learn about rural life in Ireland. We will pass through Cong, where the film ‘The Quiet Man’ was made, then return to Westport.  a Join your fellow travelers for farewell dinner at the Tavern Bar  located in nearby Murrisk nestled at the foot of Croagh Patrick.

Thursday, October 2 - Farewell & Safe Home

Sadly , our adventures are over and we‛re very sorry to see you go! Your coach driver will get you to Shannon Airport in  plenty of time for you to check in for your flight and clear customs and immigration, avoiding the long lines that you  can meet you in America. There is ample duty- free shopping available at the airport for any last-minute gifts or  mementos. Thank you for trusting us once again with your vacation and we certainly hope you had a great time.
