Oregon’s South Coast has its own quiet magic at any time of year - rocky headlands, tidal pools, sea lions on sun-warmed rocks, and the wide Pacific stretching to the horizon. But in December, something extraordinary happens. Shore Acres State Park transforms its spectacular botanical gardens into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most beloved holiday light displays, drawing visitors from across the region for three weeks each year. This three-day tour is built around that singular experience, while weaving in the best the coast has to offer: the Marine Life Center, a guided beach walk with a local naturalist, fresh seafood on the water, and a final morning at the historic Heceta Head Lighthouse before we turn for home. It is a December escape that trades city hustle for salt air and wonder.

Depart in the morning by luxury motorcoach from Tualatin, Woodburn, Salem, and Albany, traveling through the Willamette Valley toward the Oregon Coast.
