Spend a week in charming Wine Country. Of course, there will be wine tastings, special dinners, trip to the coast, cheese and olive oil tastings.

Wine Tasting: Enjoy five tastings at charming small wineries, often including tours of the production facilities or vineyards.

Meals: Daily Breakfast, Four lunches, Two dinners, as well as Charcuteries with wine tastings are included.

Armstrong Woods: Explore a majestic old-growth redwood grove with a knowledgeable docent featuring trees reaching 312 ft and 1,500 years old.

Cheese Tasting: Discover handcrafted cheeses at Nicasio Valley Cheese Company.

Olive Oil Tasting: At McEvoy Ranch, learn about olive oil's benefits and shop for unique products after your tasting.

Day on the Coast: Start with a hike at Bodega Head, followed by a tour at UC Davis Bodega Marine Bio Lab, and lunch at Spud Point Crab Company before picnicking and hiking at Goat Rock.

Club Dinner: Enjoy a club dinner at LoCoco Cucina Rustica, Sonoma County’s “Best Italian Restaurant.”

Chef's Table Food and Wine Pairing: Indulge in a special pairing event with five courses prepared by the Executive Chef, featuring a seasonally adjusted menu.

All Gratuities are included!

Payment Schedule:

$300 deposit is due upon registration for double occupancy room.

$500 due October 5th.

Final balance due December 15th.

Due to Member requests, we no longer include the credit card fee in the trip pricing but allow members to choose their method of payment. If a credit card is used, the fees will be charged to the member on checkout and if ACH is chosen, there are no extra fees.

Note that this Trip is for current members of Austin Skiers, or those that have reciprocal status when it becomes available.  Registrations made by anyone outside of these options will be cancelled unless the requirements (membership or reciprocity) are met within 24 hours of notification by the Trip Chair.

Armstrong Woods Guided Tour

A docent will guide the tour, lasting about one-hour and 45 minutes. Armstrong Woods is an old-growth redwood grove. The tallest two trees in the grove are 312 ft. tall, average 1,400 years old, and have bases almost 15 ft in diameter or 48 ft in circumference. The tour is considered a modest walk. The Armstrong Tree is 1,500 yrs old, but only 310 ft tall.

The next stop is Goat Rock when people can picnic and then hike along the beach. Note—People should never turn their backs to the water or go into the water. The Sonoma Coast is known for sleeper waves and rip tides.

Club Dinner

A club dinner at LoCoco Cucina Rustica, Sonoma County’s “Best Italian Restaurant,” is included on Wednesday evening. The menu could include Caesar Salad or Baby Mixed Lettuces, Chicken Marsala or Lasagna Bolognese and Tiramisu. LoCoco has a minimum of 20 people for the dinner and a $500 nonrefundable deposit due at the time of booking. The dinner can also take place for less than 20 people at the Marriott banquet room.

Group Communication Using WhatsApp

The mode of electronic communication to the group as a whole during this trip will be done by using the WhatsApp application.  It will consist of two separate chats. 

One chat will be for trip leadership to communicate trip information topics to the group, such as information for the next day, etc.

The second chat will be for all the group to communicate amongst the group for such social topics as meet-ups, lunch or dinner plans, and also post photos of the trip, such as group and location photos, events, etc..  Both chats will be activated around 30 days prior to our departure. 

The Trip Chair will notify the group when the chats are enabled and will also have further instructions on how to download/sign up for WhatsApp and for the two group chats.
