Join us on this incredible trip in October 2027 as we tour the coasts and islands on this adventure that offers a combination of cruising aboard a luxury motor yacht, staying in your own private ensuite cabin, and great daily cycling on many hard to reach islands where the cycling routes are some of the most amazing in the world! If you are not a cyclist, or don't feel like riding on a particular day, you can always stay on board the yacht and enjoy all it has to offer!

While our Tour starts many of its days on the Peloponnese Coastline, it also encompasses several of the Argo-Saronic islands for both their amazing cycling as well as their cultural and historic offerings.

By the time the week is finished, you and your shipmates will have cycled nearly 200 miles on a hybrid, road or e-bikes, visited a minimum of 6 Islands in the Argolic Gulf and the Saronic Gulf, explored old ruins such as Mycenae and Aphea, all the while feasting on amazing, over the top, family-style Greek Mediterranean Cuisine almost every night.

Due to member requests we no longer include the credit card fee in the trip pricing, but allow members to choose their method of payment. If a credit card is used for payment, the fees will be charged fto the member on checkout. If ACH is selected by the member then no extra fees will be charged.

Note that this Trip is for current members of Austin Skiers, or those that have reciprocal status when it becomes available (7 days after member opening).  Registrations made by anyone outside of these options will be cancelled unless the requirements (membership or reciprocity) are met within 24 hours of notification by the Trip Chair.

We will be offering a pre-trip stay in a hotel in Athens for the night of Thursday, October 14th, as it is highly recommended that you fly in early so that you can recover from a long, overnight flight from the USA, or other embarkation places, and be fully ready to make the most of your boat/cycling trip.

You can certainly arrive at the Athens airport in the morning of Friday, October 15th, and will be transported directly to the yacht.

After the boat/cycling trip is over we will be offering a 3-night post-trip stay in Athens to tour some of the ruins, sights, etc., as well as giving you time to explore and relax as well.

The costs of these pre- and post- trip stays are not included in the trip price. More details and the opportunity to sign-up for either or both of these will be provided later in 2026 after the initial trip registration period.

We have reserved the whole yacht, so will be able to accommodate up to 38 guests in the cabin types listed below, on a first-come, first-served basis.

SATURDAY:

9:00am: Cycle from Nafplio Port To Mycenae (17 miles).

Visit Ancient Site. Cycle to lunch spot.

Cycle back to Nafplio Port (17 miles).

SUNDAY:

8:00am: Cycle from Paralio Astros to Leonidio (Plaka). Includes a coffee stop. (34 miles).

Boat meets us in Leonidio (Plaka).

MONDAY:

9:00am: Cycle from Monemvasia to Elafonisos. Includes a coffee stop. (25 miles).

TUESDAY:

9:00am Cycling around Spetses. Coffee stop at end. (16 miles).

11:15am Ferry from Spetses to Kosta.

11:30am Cycle from Kosta to Ermioni. (12 miles).

WEDNESDAY:

9:00am Cycle from Ermioni to Poros. Includes coffee stop and ferry. (34 miles).

THURSDAY:

9:00am Cycle from Poros to Methana. (15 miles).

4:00pm Cycle from Aegina to visit Temple of Aphaia and return to Aegina. (25 miles)

At the end of the trip on Friday, October 22nd, we will have breakfast on the boat at the marina, and then disembark around 8:30am.

OPTION ONE: Transportation will be available to take you from the boat to the airport if your flight is leaving Friday morning or afternoon.

OPTION TWO: If you are planning on staying for an extra night at the group hotel in the city on Friday night to catch your plane on Saturday, October 23rd, then you will be transported to the hotel from the boat ,and then on Saturday morning transported to the Athens Airport.

POST-TRIP OPTION: If you plan on staying until Monday, October 25th to participate in the post-trip tours and sightseeing, then you will be transported to the group hotel where you will be staying for three nights. The post-trip tour will start on Saturday morning and continue on Sunday. On Monday morning you will be transported to the Athens Airport to catch your flight home or to wherever you are flying to.

NOTE: The cost of the additional pre or post one-night hotel stay on Friday night, as well as the cost of the post-trip, are not included in the original package price.

These additional options will be offered as add-ons to the registration for this trip once the number of members who wish to use these add-ons is finalized and the costs confirmed.

All transportation is included to and from the airport and to and from the boat.

The mode of electronic communication to the group as a whole during this trip will be done by using the WhatsApp application.  It will consist of two separate chats. 

One chat will be for trip leadership to communicate trip informationtopics to the group, such as lunch-meet-up information for the next day, happy hour times and locations, etc.

The second chat will be for all the group to communicate amongst the group for such social topics as meet-ups, skiing plans for the next day, lunch or dining plans, and also post photos of the trip, such as skiing, groups, location photos, events, etc..  Both chats will be activated around 30 days prior to our departure. 

The Trip Chair will notify the group when the chats are enabled and will also have further instructions on how to download/sign up for WhatsApp and for the two group chats.
