South Africa is a “shark hotspot” with over 100 species of shark present. 

Join us on the shark expedition of a lifetime to dive, with Blue Sharks, Mako Sharks, Sevengill Sharks, Spotted Gully Sharks, Puffadder Catsharks, Dark Shy Sharks, Pyjama Sharks, Leopard Cat Sharks, and much more. This 10 Night/9 Day expedition package also includes a full day tour to view the BIG 5 on land, making this a truly African experience! Also included are three half day sightseeing tours to discover the beauty of the Western Cape. On these tours we plan to show you the “Cape of Good Hope” which is the most South Western tip of the African continent, finish this tour off with the famous “Boulders Beach” which is home to the African penguins. Other sightseeing attractions on this expedition are Table Mountain, and a trip to some of the best wine farms in the world.

Cristina will give several presentations about sharks, behavior, ocean conservation, and the work we conduct in The Bahamas and the rest of the world. 

Kewin will be the official photographer and videographer, collecting images and videos of your trip above and below the water. It will be emailed to you as a package at the end of your trip, included in the price.

This 10 Night/9 Day expedition package includes 

- Four inshore two-tank dive trips to explore the kelp forest, dive with Seven Gill sharks, and the smaller shark species, like cat sharks.

- Two offshore dive trips to dive with pelagic Mako and Blue sharks (full day on the boat)

- One Bronze Whaler shark trip

- One full-day tour to view the BIG 5 on land, lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, rhinos, and more, making this an authentic African experience! 

- Excursion to Table Mountain and a visit to Cape Town

- Accommodation at the Quai Side four-star hotel in the heart of Simon's Town for the ten nights

Additionally, we include three half-day sightseeing tours after our day of diving, which will help you discover the beauty of the Western Cape and experience South Africa above and below the water.

We plan to show you the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern tip of the African continent. We will finish this tour with the famous Boulders Beach, home to African penguins. 

Other sightseeing attractions on this expedition include some of the best wine farms in the world. While transportation is included, the wine tasting packages are not included in the price, as you can select which package of tasting you wish to purchase.

The itinerary and sequence of these dives and tours are based on the weather conditions; we will work with the operator to schedule the appropriate tour for the following day based on the forecast, water conditions, and visibility through their local experience. 

This is more than a diving trip; it’s a complete immersion in the unique area of Cape Town, is seeing the world above and below the surface, spending time together, enjoying the journey, learning more about sharks, the world they live in and the uniqueness of some of the species we will encounter, many of which are typical only of this area.
