If arriving on day one, you will met met at Oslo Airport and a private departure will take you to your first hotel.

Oslo is one of the most walkable cities in the world, perfect for the start of our adventure.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we will have 2-3 hours with a private guide for an insider highlights tour of the city. Discover the must-sees of beautiful Oslo including the Royal Palace and Vigeland Park on a private walking tour. See the Royal Palace, the Norwegian Parliament, and the University of Oslo, and stroll the bustling Karl Johan pedestrian shopping area. Take the tram to the iconic Vigeland Park and explore the incredible and unique works of sculptor Gustav Vigeland.
We'll have lunch in a local restaurant then you can take the afternoon at leisure to explore some of Oslo's historic alleys, hire a bike to explore further afield, or relax before we travel into the mountains tomorrow.
Tonight we are treated to a dinner at an award-winning restaurant with cuisine that sets the culinary standard for the journey to come.

Oslo to Lillehammer
After breakfast, we'll transfer to the central train station and board a train to Lillehammer, renowned for its winter skiing and picturesque mountains. On arrival, we'll take a walk in the hills and visit the Lysgårdsbakkene ski jumps, a prominent landmark of the Winter Olympics.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lillehammer, Norway, the Lysgårdsbakkene Ski Jumps offer breathtaking views of the surrounding Gudbrandsdalen valley and Lake Mjøsa. These iconic ski jumps, originally built for the 1994 Winter Olympics, are nestled within lush, forested hills and provide a striking contrast between their sleek, modern design and the natural beauty of the landscape.
As we walk to panoramic vistas we may be lucky enough to watch ski jumpers practice, experiencing the thrill and elegance of this winter sport.
In the evening we'll indulge in a typical Norwegian hosted dinner at the historic Nermo Hotel.

Lillehammer to Brimi Fjellstugu
Today we will travel from Lillehammer through the valley of Gudbrandsdalen to Lom.
This trip takes you through some of Norway’s most beautiful highlands guarded by mighty peaks watching over lush valleys. Experience the valley of Gudbrandsdalen surrounded by the national parks, an abundance of locally produced food, old architecture, and good hiking. Visit the stunning Geirangerfjord and enjoy the mountain landscape of Sognefjellet which makes its way up to the summit at 1,434 metres. The final point on this stretch is the breathtaking mountain road between Lærdal and Aurland before reaching the Aurlandsfjord, one of the most picturesque fjords in the world.
We'll walk to Rondvassbu, situated beneath the stunning Rondeslottet mountain, and relish a delightful lunch. After lunch we'll explore Vågå and make our way up to Brimi Fjellstugu, a mountain farming homestead, where you'll meet your host and enjoy a meal inspired by the flavours of the surrounding mountains.

Experience the charm of Brimi Fjellstugu AS, where stunning mountain views meet cosy, traditional Norwegian decor. Located near Jotunheimen National Park, it offers easy access to hiking and skiing adventures. Enjoy authentic local cuisine made from regional ingredients, all while appreciating sustainable practices in a welcoming atmosphere.
Steinbua and Brimi Fjellstugu
After a traditional Norwegian breakfast you will meet your local walking guide who will share with you interesting stories and tales from the local history and culture. As this tour is a local experience, your Guided By Nature guide will be your translator.
Your next destination is Steinbua, 400 metres higher above sea level than Fjellstuga. Once there, you will have fantastic views towards Tesse and Rondane with a lunch served by the fire.
When we get back, dinner will be served at Vianvang in Brimiland. At Vianvang, the focus is squarely Norwegian cuisine. The evening offers a variety of traditional flavours from Jotunheimen, along with discussions on food philosophy and an exploration of the culinary treasures of nature’s kitchen.

Brimi Fjellstugu AS offers stunning mountain views and cosy log cabin accommodations that reflect local heritage. Located close to hiking and skiing activities, guests can easily explore the beautiful surroundings. Enjoy traditional Norwegian cuisine made from fresh ingredients sourced from their on-site farm for an authentic experience.
Brimi Fjellstugu to Aurlandsfjord
After breakfast, we'll depart from Brimi for a scenic drive through the spectacular mountain and fiord country of Breheimen and Jostedalsheimen. This area is known for the impressive mountains and fjords. We will drive to Krossbu Turisthytte where we will start our hike. We will do a 3 –4 hour round-trip hike where we get to see the beautiful landscape of Sognefjellet with its glacier and high peaks.
Later, we'll continue on the mountain road over Sognefjellet, enjoying the scenery as we descend to Luster fjord. We'll board a ferry to Solvorn and proceed over Aurlandsfjellet with a stop at Stegastein, a notable viewpoint, before arriving in the peaceful village of Aurlandsfjord where we will spend the next two nights at the charming Aurlandsford Hotel.

Aurlandsdalen Valley and Aurlandsfjord
After breakfast, we leave our accommodation for a short transfer to our starting point of the valley for a full day of hiking.
Aurlandsdalen Valley is referred to as the Grand canyon of the North. It is a lush fruitful valley with riveting suspension bridges, caves and breath-taking waterfalls.
A private driver will drive us up to the starting point of the valley where we'll set of on our hike. This walk will take us through varied terrain, beautiful waterfalls, rivers and lakes. We will pass two farms along the hike and have a packed lunch along the way. The hike is known to be one of the ten top hikes in Norway.
At the end of the path we will be picked up and driven back to the hotel where we will again enjoy dinner with fresh local ingredients.

Aurlandsfjord to Bergen
Today we have a short transfer to the start of our hike. Much of this area has been dedicated to pasture farms for centuries.
With 80 percent of the area 1000 meters or more above sea level, the UNESCO Area of Aurlands is picture perfect and excellent for hiking.
Lunch is held at one of the Pasture Farms. After our hike we return to Aurland in time to continue on board our express ferry, bound for Bergen. As you sail for approximately 5 hours along the Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord, relish the invigorating fresh air while en route to the vibrant city of Bergen.
Arrival is late into Bergen and dinner is at your own leisure this evening.

After breakfast we will meet our local guide who will take us on a city tour of Bergen.
Surrounded by mountains, this city offers a unique blend of nature and urban life. Take in panoramic views from Mount Fløyen and learn about Bergen's rich history. Later you have the option to hike Mount Ulriken (6km) or take the tram and cable car to the top. This last activity is at your leisure and the tram and cable car are not included.
This evening we'll enjoy our final dinner together at a local restaurant where we can share our favourite memories of this one in a lifetime adventure with our newly made hiking friends.

Farewell - for now
Today marks the end of your unforgettable hiking adventure in Norway. After breakfast, we'll arrange a transfer to the airport and you'll depart with cherished memories of Norway's natural wonders and scenic beauty.

We can not over-emphasise the importance of appropriate footwear. Lower-profile hiking shoes, walking shoes, running shoes, approach shoes, sand shoes, elasticised boots and similar are not acceptable.
For this hike you need waterproof boots with ankle support and good grip. Low-cut shoes are best avoided as the terrain is uneven.
A firm sole is essential for stability and protection on rugged terrain.
Boots must be worn in to minimise the risk of blisters. If you haven’t worn your boots for awhile please dust them off, take them for a walk and make sure the soles are still firmly attached to the boot. There is nothing worse than your boot failing on day one. You will be unable to commence the walk without the appropriate footwear, so please feel free to contact us for more details. We are more than happy to discuss footwear with you.
Trekking pokes are recommended.
A GORE-TEX or brand specific alternative jacket is mandatory. The weather can change quickly in the mountains and a rain jacket can double as a wind-shield on exposed trails. Waterproof over-pants and a waterproof pack cover are also required.
You'll need a pack large enough to carry your extra clothing layers (fleece, puffer and wet weather gear), snacks, water, trekking poles and other optional extras like a camera, binoculars or powerbank. Invest in a comfortable and well fitting pack to prevent back, shoulder and neck pain.

Accommodation is included for the duration of your tour. Accommodation may differ to hotels listed in itinerary due to availability. In some hotels a single room will consist of a single bed. Bedding requests will be made with the hotel, but we are unable to guarantee.
You will have a dedicated guide for the duration of the trip and local guides along the way for city tours.
From beginning to end of tour
Most alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are not included. Beverages will be available to purchase individually at meals.
Tipping hiking guides in Norway is not mandatory or expected, but a modest cash gratuity of 50 to 100 NOK per day is warmly welcomed if your guide provides exceptional service.
Our Ground Operator will set up a WhatsApp group a day or two prior to departure for ease of communication in destination, ahead of the journey.
Please make sure you have Whatsapp ready on your phone.
If arriving on day one, we will provide an arrival transfer. If you plan on arriving earlier you can arrange a transfer (at additional cost) with our sales team.
Other transport options from the Airport include taxi, uber or train.
Insurance is essential, as per our terms and conditions. Please have your insurance policy details and overseas contact numbers with you, noting that our host will have stored some information as a backup.
Passports and Visas
Depending on why you're travelling and how long you plan to stay, you may require a visa for travel to the Schengen area. Check the European Entry and Exit (EES) and visa rules before you travel. If you're a dual national of a European country, check whether the EES applies to you and what passport you should enter on. There may be delays at border crossings.
