We selected Lulo Colombia from the reviews we’ve seen on Trip Advisor: only 115 reviews but 5 stars. We’re French but we live in Scotland so English wasn’t an issue to talk to them. However we don’t speak Spanish so we needed them to take into consideration for our 1 month trip. First of all they understood everything we asked for and tailored a trip with everything included (drivers, local English spoken guides, etc.) for much less money that we had been quoted for from a French agency. We understand one needs to take its margin to survive, but the difference was huge, and the options better. As you can expect from a local player, they know the backroads and hidden gems, better than any foreign agent can. Upon arrival, they gave us a phone with a local SIM card which allowed us to stay connected, with them, and with the world, without relying on WiFi. Also, they use an App where we could find all details about our trip: activities, departure time, boarding passes, etc. And it works offline, super handy. But the best with Lulo, is the service level and reactivity. On multiple occasions we were really glad they were local because if you need help at 6pm the Europeans are long gone home. Daniel and Charlotte are on the bridge whenever you need them. For example, after a week travelling around we thought we had packed our trip with too many activities and not enough us time. No pb, we just told them what we wanted to be cancelled, and they reorganised the whole 3 weeks left within the following morning. In our case it was even free of charge. Another example, one afternoon we arrived in a hotel that didn’t suit us at all. It had evidently suffered from Covid and never recovered, Daniel and Charlotte didn’t know as the hotel website was showing otherwise and they had not visit them for a while. Roaming around we found another hotel, waaay better. Again no pb, we phoned Lulo and we were moved to that very hotel that same afternoon, and in a bigger room. Another kind of service they accommodate: we bought stuffs around San Agustin and our driver was going back to Bogota after dropping us to Popoyan. So instead of carrying all our recently bought stuffs for the rest of our trip, the driver took them back to Bogota, and another driver brought them back at the airport when we came back to catch our flight home. Brillant. We travel quite a lot and so far we have never encountered such level of service and attention from any agent we worked with. If you want to visit Colombia inside out while feeling safe and covered, we strongly advise you to work with them, 110%. Guillaume & Isabelle
