Yoga means “union.” To me, that signifies connecting us to all living things, and to that which is bigger than ourselves. That is why, on my retreats, we will get out in nature — the value of having sand in our toes and immersing ourselves in the ocean are an important component of the overall experience. On this adventure, we will look at things from a new perspective: swimming with creatures that live under water and hearing about the ancient Hawaiians.
Most yoga classes will be outside in the warm breeze with the smell of tropical plants and sound of birds . We will will link poses gracefully with clear instructions and modifications. We will challenge ourselves occasionally and restore generously. The classes will build both strength and flexibility in a balanced way and I will sprinkle in wisdom from the ancient yoga texts.
