We had wonderful time in Peru. Guides were awesome and very knowledgeable. Machu Travels paid attention to details in every step of the trip. Great job and love to visit again.

Great vacation. Enjoyed Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu very much! The tour was nicely packaged, and the guides were awesome. Beautiful scenery, great food, nice Peruvian people.

We had a day trip to Caral from Peru. We knew that the drive was long, 4 hours each way. The driver and our guide Al did a great job of getting us there. We had to take a 15 minute tractor ride to the actual site because of troubles with the other road in, although others were parked near the site when we got there. Al did his best with us but he is not that familiar with Caral and we were required to go in with A Spanish speaking guide in the actual site. The site itself is in the early stages of excavation I would say. It was dry and hot with no shade. It would've been nice to have umbrellas or a heads up about this especially after a long drive. When we arrived we should've taken our packed lunch in. It was so hot we had to rush through the site, the kids were grumpy after the long drive. The packed lunch was way too big and very expensive in hindsight.($35US) I would say simple sandwiches and a piece of fruit and drink would've been enough. Overall service from the travel agency was always good and easy. Al was a good guide. Not sure I would recommend a day trip with kids here. It was our own idea to go and see the 3000 year old site .
