Having returned from the Upper Mustang trek with Nepal High Trek and Expedition a day ago I have had a little time to reflect on what a remarkable experience it was and in so many ways life changing. This spectacular piece of Nepal has grandeur and variety on a scale I haven’t experienced anywhere in the world. Our guide (Indako Gole Tamang) gave us insights into the history, religions, geology, culture and people of the region. His passion for the Upper and Lower Mustang is unmatched. Through Indako we communicated easily with monks from centuries old monasteries, local traders and people. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. We changed our itinerary several times to meet our varying circumstances and simply ended up with a more interesting experience. Highlights: Food - good, safe and varied food to suit most tastes at every stop. Lo Montagne - wow our destination. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better you arrive here and experience Chhosur Caves. The history is mind blowing as you experience the caves people either lived in or laid their dead to rest and used from 3000 years ago to as recently as World War 2. Lower Mustang - Kagbeni, Muktinath and Marpha - authentic villages with connections to explosive geology, snow leopards (elusive, we didn’t see any 😊), religious pilgrims and history. Wow it is all going on in both the Upper and Lower Mustang. Roads - they are constantly changing and are challenging but if you go with the flow it gives you great views, sights and photo opportunities. Religion - the Buddhist religion and the even earlier Bone religion share key features and the monasteries dotted across the countryside are virtual museums with artefacts hundreds of years old and vary from town to town. Indako has a true passion for Buddhism and happily gave us insights into the principles and origins of this religion. All in all it has been an amazing, life changing experience set in an a beautiful country, populated by easy going, happy communicative people. Our guide and his porters were extremely flexible and helpful as we got the most out of our expedition and gave us a journey better than we had envisioned in our wildest dreams. The hidden kingdom is a world class gem and Nepal High Trek and Expedition will give you a safe and informed insight into it.

Recently did the Manaslu Circuit through Nepal High Trek with a friend. We had an incredible experience! Our guide Suraj shared so much about the local cultures and was so fun to chat with and get to know. Lots of laughs throughout the trip! Our porter Dorje was so kind and helpful throughout the trek as well. We would recommend this company to anyone looking to trek in Nepal. Their commitment to supporting local communities and people is exemplary and everyone we interacted with was so excited and helpful. We hope to be back to do another trek with them!

I had an incredible solo 7-day Annapurna Base Camp trek, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to my guide, Anos, and porter, Purna. Anos was an outstanding guide—professional, knowledgeable, patient, and always attentive to my needs throughout the trek. He carefully adjusted the pace to suit me, shared interesting insights about the mountains and local culture, and always made sure I was safe and comfortable. His encouragement during the more challenging sections of the trek helped me push through and fully enjoy the journey. Thanks to his experience and flexibility, every day of the trek was enjoyable and stress-free. Purna was equally amazing. He worked tirelessly with a positive attitude every day, carrying my belongings and always greeting me with a smile. His hard work, kindness, and dedication played a huge role in making the trek comfortable and enjoyable. I truly appreciated his efforts throughout the entire journey. Together, Anos and Purna made an excellent team and helped create memories that I will cherish forever. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a trek in Nepal.
