Nature Camp for women of all ages to come play, rejuvenate and celebrate being alive!
Nature, embodied yoga and movement practices, breath, song and sisterhood are the medicine for this weekend retreat. And I'm giddy with excitement for this opportunity for a magical weekend together.
The set and setting is so important to me.. as I want retreats to feel like we are in celebration of life with this beautiful earth, with the waters, with fire - sitting around the campfire, watching stars, in healthy rhythm with movement and music, and really rejoicing in co-creating with nature. Like kids camp, for us. To me that's spiritual!
It will be lighthearted, peaceful, playful, and a great time to reconnect to you and with wonderful people. And as always, with space to arrive perfectly as you are, and that all parts of us are welcome - the grieving, the sweet, the bitter, the undigested, the fear and love.
This retreat is open to all ages of women, and some yoga experience is recommended.
The incredible space:
- Indoor cathedral space for yoga and outdoor deck, if it's cool enough. Sun can be strong there!
- Sauna and cold plunge!!
- A variety of unique, rustic sleeping arrangements that feel like plush camping
- Beautifully prepared, organic plant-based meals for the weekend. Some fish or meat may be included, and you will have a choice for vegetarian if you wish.
- Evening campfire hangs!
We have an epicurean, peaceful, partially permaculture backyard garden orchard and entertaining event center. We are nestled in the sierra foothills 5 minutes from the middle fork of the yuba river and Bullards Bar Resivoir either direction from Old Toll Rd.
The hub of the outdoor entertaining area is the kitchen and patio surrounded and including pizza oven, restaurant stovetop, sauna, bathouse, multiple outdoor tubs, 3 outdoor showers as well as private facilities inside the cabin with a flushing toilet. The outside facilities is an outhouse to share amongst the guests that are residing in all the glampsites other than the main cabin.
In every dwelling we provide 1-2 beds clean sheets and warm blankets, pillows, table and chairs at least one outlet and solar lights for the canvas tents. Our extra communal space we call the cathedral it has been used as a yoga chale, workout space or late night dance area.
- This will be a group of 15 women.
- I've held many retreats over the years, and the coming together of kind-hearted, creative people has resulted in so many beautiful friendships and circles of friends. If you are looking for more community, this may be perfect for you.
- All meals will be plant-based, gluten and dairy free. Meat and dairy options will be available at some meals.
- Alcohol will not be served. If you'd like to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine, you're welcome to bring and enjoy with dinner. Please enjoy a small, responsible amount.
- If you don't have a car, there will be a spreadsheet where you can ask for a ride. I can't guarantee a ride will be available, and at the same time, we've never had someone book and not be able to find a ride.
- This includes lodging, 6 meals and snacks, all classes, and our coordination of this experience to make it really special for you!!
Bonus -- I have heard many times over that people make really wonderful friends on retreats. Wonderful groups come together, and if you're looking to build community, it's here/ we're here for you.
