Join us on a 1-day pilgrimage to Iowa! Our trip will include a tour and Holy Mass at the New Melleray Abbey, including a private audience with one of the Monks! Then we'll take a tour of the Cistercian casket factory. Afterwards we'll head to the Field of Dreams and have time to enjoy this historic site. Then we'll take time to pray and take a quick tour of the Basilica of St Francis Xavier before heading to lunch at Textile brewing Company. We'll finish our trip with a wine tasting at Massbach Ridge Winery!

 Board our comfortable 56-passenger bus enroute to New Mellerey Abbey in Peosta Iowa. 

We'll start our trip with a tour and Holy Mass at the incredible New Melleray Abbey in Peosta, Iowa! Then we'll have a special private audience with one of the Cistercian Monks and hear about a day in the life of a Monk! Then we'll take a quick tour of the Trappist Casket factory where the monks hand make caskets to help support their community. 

Next we'll head to the Field of Dreams! Nestled in the rolling corn fields of Dyersville, Iowa, the Field of Dreams is known as "the most magical place on the dirt!" A quick tour of this picturesque field will leave you asking "Is this heaven?" Nope, just Iowa.

Then we'll head to the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville. Built in 1888, this church was raised to the rank of a minor Basilica in 1956- by a proclamation of His Holiness Pope Pius XII in recognition of the architectural attributes of the church and the fervent faith of the congregation. At that time, St. Francis Xavier was the twelfth church in the country to receive such an honor.

Experience the charm of Massbach Ridge Winery , our final stop of the day! Located outside of Elizabeth, IL, Massbach Ridge Winery serves 20 unique wines and is situated on a beautiful 15 acre winery in the rolling hills. We'll enjoy a group wine tasting of their finest wines, paired with delicious snacks, and have time to shop for wine before we depart on our way back to St. Mary Huntley!
