● 07:00 AM: Hotel Pickup (Senaru Area) - Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in the Senaru area to begin our adventure.

● 07:20 AM: Arrival at Mount Rinjani Starting Point - Arrive at the starting point of our trek, where our guide will provide a brief overview of the day's itinerary.

● 01:00 PM: Arrival at Senaru Crater Rim (Viewpoint) - Reach the Senaru Crater Rim, offering breathtaking views of Mount Rinjani and the surrounding landscape.

● 01:20 PM: Lunch Preparation by Guide

● Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our guide.

● 01:40 PM: Descend to Senaru Village - Begin our descent to Senaru Village, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

● 07:00 PM: Dinner and Trek Program Ends

Before trekking Mount Rinjani, all hikers are strongly advised to have valid travel insurance. Trekking takes place in a remote mountain environment where weather, altitude, and rugged terrain can create certain risks. Proper insurance ensures you are protected in case of accidents or medical emergencies during your trip.

Your policy should ideally cover medical treatment, emergency rescue, and helicopter evacuation. Since Mount Rinjani reaches 3,726 meters above sea level, make sure your insurance includes high-altitude trekking coverage (above 3,500 m), as many standard travel policies do not automatically include this.

Optional Premium Trekking Insurance

The Mount Rinjani National Park Authority now offers an optional Premium Trekking Insurance program to improve safety and emergency response for hikers.

While trekking permits already include basic insurance, the premium option provides additional protection and emergency support. It is available for both Indonesian citizens (WNI) and international visitors (WNA).

Coverage includes:

• Trekking accident protection

• Medical treatment related to trekking incidents

• Ground evacuation and ambulance services

• Emergency rescue operations

• Helicopter evacuation in serious situations

This insurance helps ensure hikers receive professional assistance quickly if an emergency occurs.

Premium Insurance Cost

• IDR 290,000 per person per trip

• Coverage valid from park entry until exit

• Maximum coverage period: 4 days (4 × 24 hours)

Is It Required?

The Premium Trekking Insurance is optional, but it is recommended if:

• You do not have travel insurance

• Your insurance does not cover trekking activities

• Your policy does not include emergency evacuation

• Your insurance does not cover high-altitude trekking

Because Mount Rinjani is remote and challenging, proper insurance can be extremely important during emergencies.

Using Your Own Travel Insurance

If you already have travel insurance that covers mountain trekking, you do not need to purchase the Premium Trekking Insurance. However, the park requires all hikers to register their insurance details before starting the trek.

You only need to provide:

• Insurance provider name

• Policy or certificate number

These details will be recorded together with your trekking permit registration.
