After breakfast your adventure in Uganda begins by driving northwest towards Masindi and Murchison Falls Conservation Area, the largest conservation area in Uganda, which offers beautiful scenery of grassland acacia savanna in the north and tropical forests in the south.

Stop for a nature walk at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the breeding project that is nurturing the rebirth of the endangered white rhino in Uganda. You can see them closely while walking freely in the reserve which is their natural habitat. Lunch at the restaurant at the Sanctuary. Proceed to the national park thereafter. 

Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Pakuba Safari Lodge. (BLD)

Note: Today transfer is about 6 hours drive, part of it through dirt road within the park. 

After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive, explore the savanna in the delta of the Nile on Lake Albert, Northern bank. As you view and take memorable photographs of the animals in the wild, you might find elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and, very rarely, leopards. 

Drive back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take the boat excursion along the river Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. It is amazing the concentration of wildlife in the bank of the river Nile, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird’s species, like African eagles, pelicans, kingfisher, Egyptian geese and much more. 

Proceed from the excursion with a walk to the “top of the falls, where the river Nile creates a narrow canyon of thunderous water as it lowers down the Albertine Rift Valley. You will have a view from the top of the falls.

Early morning drive to Budongo Forest, in Kaniyo-Pabidi eco-tourist site, for tropical forest trekking to meet the Great Apes, the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The forest also is home to many other primates such as black and white colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, blue monkey, vervet monkey and baboons. The chimpanzee trekking is possible due to the conservation efforts by Jane Goodall Institute and the park authorities to protect the forest and the endangered chimpanzees. 

Enjoy a packed lunch, and In the afternoon, take a cultural activity with Boomu Women Group eco-tourist site or the Kapega Association made by local guides who have been working in the forest. This is a moment for you to interact with the people living near the forest, to see how they live. 

Dinner and overnight at Hoima Cultural Lodge.

After breakfast, you will pass by Lake Albert which is the seventh largest lake and one of the African Great Lakes in Africa to Butiaba fishing village. Once a port to Congo, the village was changed to a fishing community because of insecurity in Congo, and is now one of the largest villages on the shore of Lake Albert. Enjoy a village walk through the local community  to see local people and activities, including lunch in a local restaurant. 

Proceed on the road along the Rwenzori mountain range to Kasese town then to Queen Elizabeth National Park the second largest Open Savannah National Park in Uganda. 

Dinner and overnight at one of the following lodges,  Mweya Safari Lodge,  Katara Lodge  or Park View Safari Lodge

Set out on an early morning game drive along the tracks of the national park, in the Northern sectors and towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. You might see lions, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, perhaps the leopard which is a rare sight. Queen Elizabeth enjoys unique landscapes and views of crater lakes and the Albertine Rift Valley, which make this area special and unforgettable. 

Midmorning, embark on an exciting boat safari from Mweya peninsula along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife, bird’s life and opportunities for good photographs. Moreover, you will see plenty of hippos, buffaloes and elephants while drinking from the channel. 

Lunch In the afternoon before a short transfer to the Ishasha sector of the park, for dinner and overnight at Ishasha Jungle Lodge or Engagi Lodge.

After breakfast, photographic safari in the Ishasha sector, the southern region of Queen Elizabeth NP, in search for the “tree climbing lions” which are seen during the hot hours of the day, as they lie resting on top of Figs trees. See also herds of buffaloes, elephants, topi antelopes and many species of birds. Lunch en route as you proceed to Bwindi Forest. Reach Bwindi National Park 

Arrive by evening for dinner and overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge, Silverback Lodge, or Engagi Lodge.

Note: Today transfer can be very long up to 3-7 hours and depends on roads conditions and place of allocation of gorilla permits. The choice of the area of the gorilla safari depends on the availability of permits. 

This morning you will wake up very early to get ready for Gorilla tracking, one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. You will drive to the Park for registration at 7.30am, with Gorilla tracking to start at 8.30am. There are now only 650 of these gorillas left in the world! Expect to adventurously track through the Impenetrable Forest before you encounter any gorillas,  which is definitely worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play with the young ones, rest and act like humans.  The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. There are always Park Guides with you to interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. The experience can last for a few hours to a whole day depending on how far the gorilla group you are tracking is. When you get to the Gorilla Family, you will spend 1 hour with them. After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a small game national park found in the central region of Uganda, the Ankole. This is the perfect stop over between Bwindi and Entebbe. After lunch, go for game drive in search for the beautiful impalas, elands, topi and many antelopes, buffaloes, zebras.

Early morning, transfer to Mambaba Swamp where you will ride on the traditional Canoe in search of the Rare Endangered Shoebill Stork before heading to Entebbe International Airport to Catch your flight back home.
