Join me for the ultimate celebration as we head to Munich for Oktoberfest 🍻 the world’s largest and most famous beer festival!
Along the way you'll bond with a small group of like minded travelers and form lasting friendships with other like minded individuals during my Germany's Greatest Hits Oktoberfest Tour!
This trip focuses on diving deep into German history and culture as we kick things off in the German 🇩🇪 capital city of Berlin.
After exploring some of Berlin's top attractions like the Reichstag, Berlin Wall and paying our respects at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, we'll make our way south into Bavaria's second largest city, Nuremberg.
We'll experience the charm of Nuremberg's historic Old Town, walk the cobblestone streets and canals to see the Imperial Castle, explore the Rock Cut tunnels and enjoy the town's traditional Nuremberg sausages.
After we spend a few days taking in Nuremberg's rich history we'll arrive in Munich.
Here we'll stroll through giant beer halls, taking in the lively atmosphere, and raising our steins with new friends as we enjoy traditional Bavarian music during Oktoberfest!
Not only will we take in Bavaria's most famous festival and explore Munich's Old Town, but we'll also spend time visiting the impressive 🏰 Neuschwanstein Castle.
This trip takes place over the following dates:

Upon arriving in Berlin, catch a train into the city center and get checked into our hotel near Berlin Mitte.
Aim to land by 2 PM for a smooth check-in.
We'll spend some time getting oriented on Berlin's layout by enjoying a walking tour of major cultural sites and visits to the Berliner Dome and Topography of Terror Museum.
On our first full day in Berlin, we'll explore the German Parliament building known as the Reichstag.
The building has rich history dating back to Hitler's rise ahead of World War II and today the glass dome is open for visitors to explore.
It's symbolic design is meant to convey transparency of the German government to the people who live there and visit.
After wrapping up our tour of the Reichstag, we'll head into Berlin Mitte and embark on an epic food tour through town.
We'll taste traditional Berlin food and drinks like the kabab, classic plum donuts, Berliner Weisse and more. The tour will conclude at a local brewery and later in the evening we'll have a sunset cruise scheduled on the river Spree!
Our third day in Berlin will start with a visit to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp where we'll pay our respects to lives lost during the Holocaust.
This somber, yet important experience will help visitors gain insight into the conditions faced by prisoners held in these places during World War II.
Afterwards, we'll move to the town of Potsdam which lies on the outskirts of Berlin.
We'll have a walking tour of town and some of the palaces before enjoying time to explore this area on our own.
On day four we'll catch a train and head south to Bavaria's second largest city, Nuremberg.
The town boasts historic charm, as it's pedestrian friendly Old Town area is enclosed by a massive castle wall.
We'll have a free evening to explore and enjoy the nightlife here before we jump into group activities to experience the towns main highlights over the next two days.
Our first full day in Nuremberg will kick off with a walking tour so we can get a good lay of the land and gain an understanding of Nuremberg's most important cultural sites.
After the walking tour, we'll head over to the Imperial Castle to take in my personal favorite area of the town.
If you're in the market for some authentic Bavarian attire to wear to Oktoberfest, this is a day to do some shopping!
Our last day in Nuremberg will kick off with a visit to the Nazi Rally Grounds where Hitler first started his rise to power over Germany ahead of World War II.
During the evening we'll explore the Rock Cut Tunnels, which served as a bomb shelter during World War II when Allied Forces leveled much of the city.
On our seventh day we'll catch a train and head south to the promised land to enjoy our first day in Munich and Oktoberfest!
Today we'll enjoy a guided tour of the festival grounds with a local along with guaranteed beer tent seating as we enjoy the festivities to their fullest and learn about why Oktoberfest is so significant in Bavaria.
Don't forget your dirndl or lederhosen (optional but strongly encouraged).
On our second day in Munich we'll kick things off with a walking tour of Old Town.
We'll learn about some of Munich's most important cultural sites while we explore town by foot.
After our visit, you'll have time to continue exploring Munich on your own or head back to Oktoberfest for another round of celebrations!
On our last day in Munich we'll take a day trip to nearby Neuschwanstein Castle (aka the Disney Castle).
Here we'll explore some of the most impressive palaces ever built at the hands of King Ludwig II.
This will be a full day activity and we'll return in the evening. Since this will be our last evening in Munich, everyone will be free to either head back for a third round of Oktoberfest or explore town on their own.
On our final day in Munich, we'll say our goodbyes as the group splits off to either head home or continue their travels elsewhere in Europe.
