The Philosophy & Asana 100-HR Maya Yoga module focuses on the more subtle internal aspects of Yoga Sadhana (practice) which include the workings and gyrations of the mind.  Nicki has a deep love and respect for the yoga sutras of Patanjali and is fascinated by how they continue to apply and relate to everyday life as well as to our experience on the mat.  

In this training you will experience what it means to intertwine yoga philosophy with asana and how it can deepen your personal practice. Study the yoga sutras of Patanjali as they relate to asana and learn how to teach from an authentic self; bringing a potency to your teaching that is uniquely yours.  

This 100 Hour Maya Yoga Teacher Training Module can be applied to the 200 and 300 hour Yoga Alliance certification, as well as continuing education.

Some topics covered will include Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandhas, Anatomy,  Restorative Yoga, Chanting, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Yoga Psychology, Bhagavad Gita, Adjustments, Alignment of both physical and subtle body, Meditation, and Svadhyaya (the study of the self).

Maya Yoga Studio is on Nicki's property on Maui’s North Shore, Hawai‘i. It is a sanctuary surrounded by ocean breeze, lush beauty, and the aloha spirit. Nicki is honored to share her stunning property with you!

The Banyan Tree House is located on 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens on the slopes of Haleakala in Upcountry Maui. Hidden under exotic Banyan & Monkeypod trees rests the Main House, a historical home. Guests can enjoy a formal dining room, spacious living room & restaurant quality kitchen. The home has 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Adjacent to this beautiful home are 3 cottages which offer convenience with self sufficient, private rooms. The estate is just a short walk to restaurants, cafes & shops in the historic Makawao.
