🏛️ THE STORY

Five hundred years ago, the chaskis ran the mountain roads of the Inca Empire carrying messages to Cusco. History forgot their names. It never forgot that the message arrived.

In June 2027, it’s your turn.

Somewhere on the trail, a volunteer hands you an envelope. Inside is a letter written by hand by a child from one of the Andean villages you’re running through.

You tuck it safely into your bag, close to your chest, and you keep moving.

Because now you’re not just running.
You’re carrying something that has to arrive.

You drop into Cusco, cross the Plaza de Armas and hand over every letter you carried.

ℹ️ The course runs from the Sacred Valley to Cusco. It does not enter Machu Picchu.

🎂 Minimum age on race day

• 21 for the 100K, Relay and 50K

• 18 for the 25K

🩺 Medical certificate
Signed and stamped by a licensed doctor, issued within the 6 months before the race.

📝 Sworn statement and liability waiver
You sign them when you pick up your kit.

🛂 Passport
Bring it to collect your kit.

🎒 Mandatory gear
We check it at kit pickup, at checkpoints and at the finish. Full list on our website.

🏔️ Altitude
Cusco sits at 3,400 m. If you live below 3,000 m, give your body at least 3 days in the region before race day.

⏰ The earlier you sign up, the less you pay

• 🔥 30% off until December 31, 2026

• 15% off from January 1 to February 28, 2027

• Regular price from March 1 to May 31, 2027

💳 Pay in two parts
For the 100K, Relay and 50K: 50% when you sign up, and the rest when your price window closes.

Defer to 2028 once, until May 31, 2027, for US$10. What you paid becomes your credit.

⛈️ If something beyond our control stops the race
We’ll offer you a new date in 2027 or a free spot in 2028. If neither works for you, we refund what you paid, minus costs we can’t recover.

In the first 12 km you climb to 4,437 m, the highest point of the race. Night falls on your way down to Socma. Headlamp on. 🔦 Then Moray, Maras and Urubamba in the dark, with Cusco still far ahead.

👟 15K · Bus from Cusco at 07:00 · START 09:00 in Wayllarcocha, straight up to Kantuki, with Cusco at your feet.

✉️ Along the way, our team hands you letters written by children from the schools along the route. Carry them to the end.
