He has published more than 100 yoga related articles and released through “Sangeetha” over 30 cds on Sanskrit chants including the Yoga Sutras and Surya Namaskara as well as uploaded around 60 videos on chants and Vinyasa Krama talks on YouTube.  Ramaswami  has been teaching for the last 30 years— 20 years at Kalakshetra in India and 10 years teaching a 200 hour Vinyasa Krama Teacher Training Summer Program at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles as well as several shorter programs in Chicago and other cities in USA, UK, Mexico and Canada.

Course Description

This training includes:

A. 60 hrs Complete Vinyasakrama asana and vinyasas

In 10 major sequences more than 120 asana subroutines consisting of 700 + Vinyasas will be covered. Each movement with the appropriate synchronized breathing will be taught. Those who undergo this program will have learnt a wide variety of asanas ands vinyasas with appropriate breathing to be able to adapt to individual requirements.

B. 20 hrs Pranayama, Mudras, Yoga for Internal Organs and Dharana Meditation

Pranayama is emphasized in both Hatayoga and Raja yoga. Hatayoga means pranayama. It is said it removes systemic tamas. The mudras help to reach various internal parts of the body. Yoga is a sarvanga sadhana or a system that is beneficial for all parts of the body including the vital internal organs. In this program the various powerful yogic procedures like pranayama and mudras and their effects on the internal organs like the heart and the circulatory system, lungs and the respiratory system, stomach and the digestive system, bladder/kidney and the urinary system, uterus and the reproductive system, the intestines, brain and the nervous system will be discussed in depth. Practice of different pranayamas and important mudras also will be taught.

C. 20 hrs Bhagavad Gita Text

The Bhagavad- Gita is considered by eastern and western scholars alike to be among the greatest spiritual books the world has ever known. In a very clear and wonderful way the Supreme Lord Krishna describes the science of self-realization and the exact process by which a human being can establish their eternal relationship with God. In terms of pure, spiritual knowledge the Bhagavad- Gita is incomparable. Its intrinsic beauty is that its knowledge applies to all human beings and does not postulate any sectarian ideology or secular view.

Passionate and inspirational, Ryan Leier brings a creative energy to every class he teaches, whether in his own One Yoga studios or as an ambassador of yoga to communities around the world. With a distinct expression of ancient traditions that touches his students’ hearts, Ryan’s commitment to honouring his teachers leads him to be equally devoted to continuing his studies as to teaching. Ryan is primarily a student of the Krishamacharya yoga lineage having received teachings directly from the Master, Sri BKS Iyengar and the Ashtanga Guru, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Registered as an E-RYT 500, RCYT, the highest designation with the Yoga Alliance, Ryan also trains with the extraordinary teachers Father Joe Pereira (Iyengar Yoga); Baron Baptiste; Dina T; Danny Paradise; Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doane (Maya Yoga); and Srivatsa Ramaswami (Vinyasa Krama). Ryan is rooted in local sacred teachings, and he regularly studies and serves the Elders in his home province of Saskatchewan.

Wonderful people, powerful yoga with my beloved teacher, some of the best days of my life.
I had a fantastic time! As always, I learned a huge amount from Ryan (and the other participants), I pushed myself to discover new boundaries and thoroughly loved every minute. Caitlin and Savannah were super helpful and accommodating. One thing I might suggest is a group dinner early on in the training to let everyone bond outside of the classroom/studio. The final night of the community gong bath and diner was when I felt we all came together as group, and it was the last time we were together. As a solo traveller and not being from the West Coast or part of a ONE Yoga Community, I felt a bit separated at times. But everyone, including the Icelanders were friendly and compassionate. I would not hesitate to sign up for another training with Ryan, regardless of the location!!!

Really inspiring and transforming experience. Ryan is great teacher and wonderful person and Iceland is such a magical land... I loved it all! Thanks again!
Ryan and the one yoga team were the most supportive loving group of people I have ever met. They have taught me how to love unconditionally and to live with passion. I cannot thank the group enough for the skills they have given me. Would do this training every year. Thank you thank you thank you
I was able to participate in a weekend of yoga with Ryan Leier and had only been to a class of his before a few years previous at Wanderlust on Oahu. I appreciated the balance of pranayama with teachings, and asana. The time was powerful for me as I was challenged in ways in certain postures due to my previous injuries and fears but I was so appreciative that Ryan was 100% available to create a safe space (for not only me but my girlfriend who attended also) to move through our limitations into new spaces. I enjoyed it so much I hope to attend Ryan's training this summer in Saskatchewan when I am up in Canada this summer and if he returns to Maya yoga studio again I would of course happily return from Oahu and remind my friends to join me. Thanks Ryan for all that you do in sharing your yoga experience with those around you.
