12 day Kenya safari where you will have a chance to visit the chimpanzees sanctury in Ol pejeta conservancy located in Nanyuki county. En route stop in Gatanga for a memorable purple Tea farm tour, offering unique combination of tea, nature and cultural experiences. After breakfast you will visit the lord Robert Baden-Powell’s grave at St. Peter’s cemetery near mount Kenya where you will learn the history of the late lord Robert Baden-Powell who was a British soldier, writer and the founder of the scout movement. Later in the afternoon you will head back to outspan hotel for lunch then depart for Nanyuki. On arrival you will check in at comfort garden sweetwaters then followed with some relaxation in the pool and free bycle cycling to explore the surrounding area.

Breakfast then depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. On arrival in Ol Pejeta, enjoy a game drive through the scenic Laikipia Landscape, viewing diverse wildlife and learning about the conservancy conservation effort. Later you will visit the northern white rhino enclosure and sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary, a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees and the only place in Kenya where visitors can see chimpanzees. In time for lunch, you will enjoy a picnic lunch, later in the evening you will head back to Comfort Gardens sweetwaters.

After breakfast, depart for Lewa conservancy. On arrival, you will proceed for a guided game drive focusing on wildlife beyond the big five. Look out for Grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and other unique northern Kenya species. You will also learn about the protection of endangered wildlife and habitat conservation. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the surrounding scenery. Later in the afternoon you will experience a community-based tourism around Lewa wildlife conservancy, interacting with local communities and learning how conservation contributes to sustainable livelihoods. In the evening you will depart for Simba lodge.

Early breakfast, then enjoy a game drive exploring tracks winding through the wildlife-rich volcanic plains and riverine forest and, also spot specialized somali-biome and savannah bird species. On arrival in Umoja village community which is an all-female, matriarchal sanctuary, it serves as a safe haven and refuge for woman and girls escaping domestic abuse rape forced marriages and female genital mutilation. During the visit you will also learn about empowerment of the women owning a land and campaign against harmful regional cultural practices. Later in the evening you will head back to Simba lodge.

After breakfast depart for Railway museum, explore Kenya’s rich railway history, view vintage steam locomotives, old carriage and historical photographs detailing the construction of the historic Uganda railway. Later in the afternoon, visit Nairobi National Museum one of Kenya’s major cultural and nature heritage attraction, some of this attraction include human evolution gallery and history of Kenya Gallery. On your back to your hotel you will visit the kazuri beads factory where widow women make handmade ceramic beads, jewelry and pottery, after wards head back to Sarova Panafric Hotel.
