INTRODUCTION OF THIS SAFARI TOUR TO THE SOUTHERN AFRICA

Soweto, Johannesburg - Soweto, short for South Western Township, is a vibrant and historically rich neighborhood located in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was established in the 1930s to house black South Africans who were forced to move out of the city due to segregation laws. Today, Soweto is a bustling community with a unique blend of cultures and traditions. Visitors can explore the famous landmarks, such as the Nelson Mandela House, Hector Pieterson Memorial, and the Regina Mundi Church, which played a pivotal role in the anti-apartheid movement. Soweto also boasts a thriving music and arts scene, with numerous galleries, museums, and live music venues. 


Victoria Falls -Victoria Falls, located on the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe, is one of the world's most breathtaking natural wonders. This magnificent waterfall spans over 1.7 kilometers wide and drops over 100 meters into the gorge below. Visitors can witness the majestic beauty of the falls from multiple viewpoints, including the famous Devil's Pool and Livingstone Island.  Do I need a visa? You do not need a visa, if you are holding the following passport - American, Canada, UK, German, Tanzanian...and more, let us know if you are holding another country passport


 How much is the flight cost? Flight cost form between - $900 - $1600 for economy coach - both ways. And it's about $3500-$4200 for business class both ways.

What are the best airline? Swiss air /  Qatar air / KLM / Emirates / British airways.

Inbound flight your flight, should be book in and out of O.R Tambo Int'l airport, Johannesburg. 


Do i need any vaccine? We will talk more about this, but it is a personal choice as the lodges are luxury and there is nothing to worry about contaminated water or malaria.


This tour is available from January 9 - March 31 2025, as it is green season, which mean more wildlife, less crown and the price is 25% off. This is the perfect time to go on this tour.


How many people in this tour? This tour will need 10 people, since it's considered a green season, the camps will need a nice size group to operate.

Day 1:

Arrive in South Africa - Johannesburg.

 

Welcome to Johannesburg, South Africa. We will go throug the visa stamps, and head to collect our bags, (Push cart are free here) :)

After collecting our bags, our local driver will be waiting for us at the exit lobby. Meet and greet, load the bags, and head to the lodge. For two nights you will be staying in the suburb of Johannesburg, Sandton. Depends on arrival time, activity will be plan soon we know landing schedule.

Soweto & Nelson Mandela Tour - Johannesburg


After pick-ups, we convene at FNB Soccer Stadium on the outskirts of Soweto. Meet your guide and listen to a short explanation of the famous soccer stadium and the role it played in Soweto’s history.We set off to the heart of Soweto, driving past Baragwanath Hospital, an enormous taxi rank and the historic suburb of Diepkloof. 


Our first stop in Soweto is at Motsoaledi informal settlement. Walk through the streets with our local guide past street cafés and craft markets to a community center. Greet and meet the people in the settlement and learn more about their way of life. 

We continue on through Orlando West to the hub of Soweto, and make our way down the vibrant Vilakazi Street, past iconic monuments and the homes of Nelson and Winnie Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Time permitting, you have the option of stopping at Nelson Mandela Museum for a visit (at your own cost).en go to the Hector Pieterson Museum (closed on Mondays) for a formal tour.

Johannesburg - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

 

Welcome to Victoria falls. It lies on the boundary between Zambia and Zimbabwe in southern Africa and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Africa.

The mighty Zambezi River cascades over the falls edge, dropping 90 meters down into the Zambezi Gorge, sending a column of spray towering high into the air when the river is high. The town itself is known as the “Adrenalin Capital of Africa”, offering a vast array of fun activities for the whole family.


You will arrive herein time for lunch, and have a rest, and an evening game drive at Zambezi National Park, which is outside the door.

Victoria Falls - Chobe National Park, Botswana.

 

After breakfast, we will load our bags and depart Victoria Falls and head into Botswana where all the great game drive and best lodges are. The drive is in a private van, and it's about 1hr drive through nature on a paved road.

We will go through the border, where we get stamp entry visa which takes about 10 minutes. and we will be transfer to our safari jeep and enter the Chobe park at around 11am. 

We will have a game drive en-route to the lodge. when arrive, we will be greeted and given informations about the lodge and daily schedule. Lunch, rest and afternoon game drive with bush bar drinks by the river..   

We will return to the lodge at around  530pm for some dinner and drinks...

Day 5:

Chobe National Park


Today, early in the morning, you will have a nice light breakfast, and head for a morning game drive. You will also have small bite to eat in the park.


You will return to the lodge in the late morning, and have some rest or you can join an electric boat for more game viewing ad it's water break for animals and it's the best way to view game at this lodge, drinks and snack are served in this boat too.


In the afternoon, you will have another game drive, and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Chobe National Park

 Another day in the park, you will have seen so many wildlife by now, as this park attract so many wildlife as it's the massive river going through the park, whether it's dry season or wet season, my favorite part is when all of the animals comes to drink water...the view that never ends....


Your day will have, game drive in the morning - Lunch - boat ride - break, repeat.

Afternoon - game drive  - Sunset boat ride - dinner - drink 


Overnight.

Day 7:

Moremi Game Reserve


Toda, we will depart Chobe game lodge and head to our next destination.


You will have breakfast as usual, pack your bags after and transported to the airport for your two hrs flight to Okavango delta. Next lodging at Moremi game reserve. Okavango Delta, ''World Heritage Site" and the most famous of all in the southern Africa.


The next two days you will be taken on game drives in the morning and evening.

You can also go on a water safari in dug out mokoro’s which is one of the best ways to experience the Okavango Delta.

Breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks will be included.

Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - dinner - coffee - tea - local beer.

Day 8:

Moremi Game Reserve


Today you will learn more about the delta, and the history o dit. Later today you will be taken out for more game drive and walking safari with an armed ranger - with drinks and bush dinner. in the park as part of game viewing, and get close to nature. 

Sunset boat ride is also one of the best way to do a game viewing.


Morning and afternoon game drives its optional.

You can also go on a water safari in dug out mokoro’s which is one of the best ways to experience the Okavango Delta.

Day 9:

Moremi Game Reserve, Okavango Delta


Your last day at Moremi game reserve. After breakfast, you will have another chance to do a morning game drive, follow by relaxation in the afternoon. You have the option to do another game drive in the afternoon. We give the option as people get tired of sitting in the safari jeep, sometimes. So you have the whole day today in the nature to see and view wildlife, because the next day you will heading back to the city of Johannesburg.


Dinner and overnight.

Day 10:

Moremi game reserve - Johannesburg via Maun

Time to head home....Wuut? Yeah, our time went by very fast - too much fun. :)


After breakfast We will be transferred to Maun, by road , which takes about 1.5 / hour and half through nature which means, more game viewing en-route. This is fun route to be driven on, be excited.

When arrive in Maun, we will check in our bags, and wait to board our flight to Johannesburg, which is about 2 hrs flight.


In Johannesburg. We will be picked up and transfer to the same hotel we stayed in when we arrived in Johannesburg.
