Welcome to Quito, Ecuador! We invite you to immerse in a less-formal study abroad program organized by the Research and Learning Initiative, Ecuador.
We offer a unique blend of study abroad and group tourism that aims to find new ways for university students to interact with local Ecuadorians practicing ecotourism while exploring the wide-world of international development.
Our trip begins in Quito, Ecuador - home to the most intact Spanish-Colonial Historic District in South America. From the heights of ancient church towers, we will lay the groundwork for in-depth conversations about international development and the complicated history of colonialism on modern-day business ownership in Latin America.
Most flights from the United States to Quito arrive in the wee hours of the morning. Therefore, the day you board the plane is not counted towards the 9 days of the trip.
