From the Hills of Donegal to a magnificent drive over the Glengesh Pass.

Wander the wild stone path along the Slieve League Cliffs – these dramatic 600m/2000ft cliffs

Drive along the coastline of Mullaghmore Head and after, stop by the small fishing village of Mullaghmore. Savour some fresh seafood and enjoy a warm welcome from the locals.

Look out for the majestic Classiebawn Castle in the distance and admire the picturesque stone harbour.

Visit Glencar Waterfall – Hidden away within the lush forest isn’t the biggest waterfall in Ireland but it’s undoubtedly one of its most picturesque.

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to meet your guide to visit Westport House, followed by a tour of the Connemara Region

Learn about the fascinating history of Westport House that goes back to the 1500s when the famous Pirate Queen of Connaught, Grace O’Malley, built one of her castles here.

FULL DAY CONNEMARA
We spend another day and night in the wilderness of Connemara, so you don’t need to repack your suitcase. Just relax and enjoy.

After breakfast meet your guide and head out for a tour of the Connemara Region

Visit Kylemore Abbey, one of Ireland’s most beautiful buildings, and wander Kylemore’s wonderful landscaped gardens. (3-hour visit)

Discover the picture-postcard beauty of the Inagh Valley.

Arrive back in Clifden by the late afternoon to soak up this quaint town’s colorful atmosphere in the heart of Connemara.

Opt to walk to visit Clifden Castle. The romantic Gothic castle is now a historical ruin and is a great place to visit in Clifden, about 2km from the town.

Or you can relax and unwind in a hot bath of Atlantic Seawater infused with hand-harvested seaweed located in the center of town.

GALWAY, THE BURREN & DOOLIN (ARAN ISLANDS)
Travel along the Wild Atlantic Way with your driver/guide via Galway Bay & The Burren Region

From Clifden, we continue our journey through the lush rolling hills as we traverse the famous Lakelands of the Connemara Region towards Galway City.

For several hours you can soak up the famous colorful atmosphere around the tribal city of Galway – the busker music, the cobblestone lanes, the contemporary flair that blends well with its medieval past, and of course, the oysters.

After lunch, it’s time to explore the lunar landscape of the Burren and travel along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Your next stop is at the 16th Century Dunguaire Castle on the outskirts of Kinvara. One of the most photographed castles in the whole of Ireland.

Then it’s on through the glacial-karst landscape of the Burren and past Corcomroe Abbey.

You will follow the Coast Road with views of Galway Bay and the Aran Islands, making a short stop to walk on the lunar-like landscape of the Burren

Arrive in Doolin village in the late afternoon with plenty of time to visit the local craft shops, colorful cafes, and lively pubs.

Overnight in Doolin or Lahinch

*At an extra expense, it’s also possible to spend a whole day on the Gaelic-speaking island of Inis Mor. You’ll be dropped off at Rossaveal in County Galway to catch a 40 min boat trip to the island (€40 return). On the island, you can choose to explore the island by bus with a local guide or by bike. (€20 to €25). You will return on a 60 min boat trip to Doolin in County Clare, where you’ll be met at the pier by your driver/guide.

THE MIGHTY CLIFFS OF MOHER & KERRY FARM TOUR
From the mighty cliffs to the magical kingdom as we move from Clare to Kerry.

This morning we visit the Cliffs of Moher. Here there is an option to take an off-the-beaten-track self-guided walk of the unspoilt region along the cliffs.

If you or members of your group prefer not to do the walk, our driver/guide will bring you straight to the Cliffs of Moher centre.

Here there is plenty to do and see, mini walking trails along the Cliffs, shops, cafes, gift stores and an amazing interactive museum about the cliffs and the surrounding region, wildlife and flora and fauna.

After the Cliffs, you will get the chance to sample fresh seafood and local craft beers in a nice cosy Irish Pub. Discover the bustling and colourful seaside town of Lahinch.

Watch out for dolphins as we take a ferry across the mighty mouth of the Shannon – the longest river in Ireland or Britain!

En route, we will stop for what many travellers believe is their tour highlight, where you'll experience a local sheepdog demonstration on a nearby farm by the sea. Here you will have the opportunity to watch their purebred border collies Sam & Jess herding sheep on the farm. You'll also get the chance to bottle-feed baby lambs.

Roll into bustling Dingle just in time for a creamy pint of Guinness.

DISCOVER DINGLE & STUNNING SLEA HEAD
This morning we make our way to the tip of the Peninsula. Wander along this long stretch of wide, clean and serene beach and get lost in your thoughts.

We drive the curvy Slea Head drive. Once described by National Geographic as the most beautiful place on earth, we drive along the edge of the peninsula with the wild Atlantic ocean to our left and the patchwork green fields to our right.

You’ll discover local secluded beaches, and ancient stone huts and have plenty of free time to take photos and experience the majestic surroundings.

Enjoy the jaw-dropping scenery and knife-edge drops are guaranteed on a leisurely drive around Slea Head.

After lunch is yours to design. Relax with downtime in Dingle.

Or partake of the following options;

This trip (7 day Atlantic Way Experience) was everything I was hoping it would be and maybe even more. First, the easy part. The B&Bs were great. Close to towns for walking around. Had both great breakfasts and wonderful hosts. And were very clean. We got lucky with a suprise the last two nights and were switched to a boutique hotel in tthe city centre. This trip was over 4 years in the plans. Covid got in the way though. I am glad I stuck with this amazing small group tour. There is No better way to travel.. And of course it really helps when you have a driver/ tour guide extrodanaire. And this was Anthony. He made our trip so much more enjoyable with his sense of humour and his impeccable knowledge of all things Irish. He took us to places off the beaten path. Changed up the itinerary when needed.. Made sure we saw our bucket list locations. And added some unexpected beautiful spots. He has a passion for what he does. Lastly, the spectacular scenery. From the Abbeys, Monestaries and Castles. All Beautiful. But for me, it was the rugged and oh so Powerful Wild Atlantic way. These places will be etched in my memories Forever. Thank you Irish Experience Tours. Great small group tour. We had 16 people that all got along great and became friends. Our tour guide (Lee) was fantastic. He was informative and entertaining. He gave us different options along the way- so folks didn't all have to do the same things. There was plenty of free time in the evenings to do your own exploring in each town. I would definitely recommend this company- especially if you are not sure exactly what you want to see. They show you a great variety of places and sights.

What a trip! Our tour guide, Lee, went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy, well informed, and always laughing. Lee brought his all and we were so thankful he was our guide! This tour covered so much, from amazing scenery to history, and yet we still had time to slow down and enjoy the local experience. There were many extra options available and also suggestions from Lee to let us experience what interested us most.

I highly recommend this tour! If you’re looking for an authentic feel of Ireland and all this beautiful country has to offer, this is the tour for you. This tour has a perfect balance of a well planned itinerary to experience the history, culture and beauty of Ireland, yet plenty of free time to explore on your own or book activities with the many options available. Sean was very entertaining while sharing his vast knowledge about history, culture and legends. He had loads of great stories and music. Lee goes above & beyond as a tour guide - has formed good relationships with accommodation & service providers along the way & as such is greeted warmly everywhere he goes . It was an absolutely wonderful time touring Ireland for 10 days in the sunshine, a great ‘taste’ to form a longer self tour at another time. Lee helped a person in our group find her ancestral home & stopped for a photo opportunity & a little moment for reflection. ‘Mr google’ - knows so much about all the places we went & could answer all manner of questions. I travelled solo on this trip & he always checked I was okay with my luggage - I had made sure I was able to carry what I had, but appreciated his assistance. Accommodation was mostly B & Bs located close walking distance to the town we were staying in. Often a few stairs to get to your room. Lee would do a loop of each new destination town & give us suggestions of eating places, live music, activities etc When people on our tour sadly became ill this was managed exceptionally well. Lee’s personal stories & general high energy kept everyone bouncing through the day. Our group was an extremely lovely group of people & we would gather to have a drink & dine together. We were blessed with amazing sunny weather & warm days. Ireland is a beautiful country to be exploring. This was my first time ‘touring’ & I seemed to have completely lucked in with Lee & my fellow travellers. Buses are clean & well maintained. Lee is an experienced driver & can park the bus quickly & efficiently in the tightest of spots. Highly rate Irish experience tours. The travel App is terrific to get all the Day to Day information. So many wonderful highlights & experiences along the way. If you're booking, read carefully the suggested age group & the pace of the tour.
