Today will allow you the chance to familiarize yourselves with the surroundings.

During the course of today we will offer a coca-leaf reading ceremony to understand you intensions for the trip. This will help put you into the mind-set of what you are looking for, and what you will achieve during your time here.

We will also offer an energetic cleansing ceremony to help you on your way and take out any negative energies brought with you from home.  This is an authentic ancient technique native to the Andes and still practised amongst the locals – a great way to get to know these cultural traditions!

You may wish to visit the town, market or ruins in the rest of your free time

After an early breakfast we leave promptly to head on our voyage to a remote Native Qeros community.  It will take us approximately 4.5 or 5 hours in total to get there. 

Some of the road is good until the town of Paucartambo where we can take a short break.  Then another 2.5-3 hours are by rougher-road.  

We plan to arrive to the community for lunch and a warm welcome from the community leader Don Alipio and the rest of his family.

The meeting of such an untouched indigenous community is a rare and inspirational experience. Ceremonies, along with daily life, are pure and far removed from anything we might expect from a modern civilization. It is a chance to perceive Pachamama through the eyes of the Q’eros, and to understand the ways in which they interact with each other and their environment. Despite the harsh and basic conditions that they live in, sharing with the Q’eros community is heart-opening and enlightening.

During this visit, we will be enjoying breathtaking mountainous high-Andes scenery along with the challenging way of life it provides, and will have the unique opportunity to take part in the sacred practices of the Q’eros, which include devotion to Pachamama, as well as an introduction to the ancient initiation of Hatun Karpay (Great Initiation). The Q'eros have been conducting these initiations since the Incan Empire, and they have been the only ones to preserve these traditions.

We then have a simple dinner (camp-food) and spend the night in tents beside the village

After breakfast we head out on a morning hike of around 2.5-3 hours (round trip) led by our Qeros Shaman where we will make blessings to a Sacred mountain or Apu as it is locally known. 

We return for a final lunch say our goodbyes to the family and pack up and load the van. We then drive around 5 hours back the way we came but continue to a local mountain village called Amaru.

After a very light breakfast we commence our Shamanic Wachuma ceremony at a Sacred lake just 15 minutes from the community. 

We will then follow the instructions of the Shaman (Healer) by drinking a psycho-active substance extracted from the Sacred San Pedro Cactus in order to commence the ritual and connect spiritually. 

This is ancient plant medicine known by the Andino communities, which is used to perform healing on our bodies as well as to connect spiritually. Many will have visions but it is said to be not as intense as Ayahuasca and normally possible to trek while take the plant medicine. 

During the ceremony – a psycho-emotional opening of self-healing - we work within ourselves and to strengthen our chakra and inner-world. 

The effects of the plant should last from morning to late afternoon, gradually wearing off.

We then transfer to our accomodation at the retreat centre Villa Magica.

An early dinner will be prepared and then you can rest.

Commencing a 6 Night stay at Villa Magica retreat

After breakfast a circle of initiation will be provided by your hosts Yuri and Diana.  We will give blessings to mother earth and the Apus (mountains) making a connection with ourselves and our surroundings setting us up for the rest of our stay.

Later, a  ‘light’ lunch will also be prepared at the restaurant by your accommodation. Dinner will not be served due to the rules surrounding the Ayahuasca ceremony

Today is the chance to relax in your surroundings and reflect from the previous nights Ayahuasca ceremony. 

Also it may be possible with advance notice to take a massage or Yoga session at the premises.

Kambo can be offered by request.

If you like to do something outside of the retreat we can offer some small excursion nearby at an additional cost.  This could be a local trek or horse ride.

In order to prepare you for the Ayahuasca we offer a Sound-healing ritual orchestrated by amazingly talented musical shaman’s

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at night is included. 

Today during the morning, you will take a Temazcal ceremony on-site.  It normally takes a few hours. Ideally we need to eat light before doing the ceremony. 

If people want to consider a day activity such as a trek (extra cost) they can let us know.

After breakfast, we commence our closing circle. We reflect on the previous week and ceremonies.  

We will then plan to leave late morning (around 11.30am) then transfer to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo 1 hour and 20 minutes drive by road.   

We can suggest lunch or dinner in the centre of Ollantaytambo town.  And we welcome you to explore this picturesque town that was built by the Incas themselves.

Today is the day if you are going!

So far you have seen many special places in Mountains and learned more about the actual culture but Machu Picchu is another level of experience. Mysticism surrounds this place more than others. What was Machu Picchu used for? Was it a type of university for the next generation of wise men? Was it a place to hold important rituals? The Inka's palace? Why was it built in such a steep place? Bring all your questions (and camera), today we will learn more about this special place. More than an archeological site, Machu Picchu is a Sanctuary for Peruvians.

Those who prefer to stay exploring the town and surrounding trails can have the day to enjoy.

When back from Ollantaytambo everyone will leave together to get back to Cusco.

We will make sure you are picked up from your hotel to take you back to Cusco airport! 

You will also have the short flight to Lima included (coordinated to be in time for your homebound flight to the US or otherwise).
