Beijing

Beijing is the main capital of China with history of more than 3,000 years. It is also the home to China’s many famous attractions such as the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City. From historical sites to modern skyscrapers, Beijing is truly a representation of China’s Past and Future.
Visit: Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, The Summer Palace, Hutong Alley
Activities: visit Tsinghua university and watch Chinese acrobatic performance.

Xi 'an

Xi 'an, formerly known as chang 'an, has been the capital of 13 dynasties for more than 3,100 years. It was once a world metropolis facing east and west with Rome and the starting and ending point of the Silk Road. 

Students will have a more In-depth understanding of the 5000 year old Chinese civilization by visiting, experiencing and exploring in the ancient capital.

Visit: Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, Shaanxi History Museum, Xi'an Banpo Museum, Hanyangling Underground Museum, Forest of Stone Steles Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda.

Activities: Visit the village of the terracotta warriors and learn how they were made, Study the northwest national traditional drama Qinqiang Opera, Learn Chinese calligraphy, Experience life in the Stone Age, Watch shadow puppetry and learn to make shadow puppets from the inheritors of the art, Watch the live-action historical dance drama " The Long regret ”.

Chengdu

Chengdu, the birthplace of ancient Shu civilization, has been built for more than 3,200 years. It has never changed its name or moved its site. We will have a sweet date with giant pandas in the land of abundance and explore the secrets of natural optimism of Shu people.
Visit: Wolong giant panda nature reserve, Dujiangyan irrigation system, Mount Qingcheng, Jinsha site museum, Temple of Marquis, Chuancais Museum.
Activities: Volunteer at International Giant panda resort, Learn Chinese kung fu-Tai Ji, Study Chinese characteristic handicraft, Learn to cook Sichuan cuisine, Learn traditional Chinese opera/Sichuan opera.
