You may also choose to hike sections of the Waitukubuli National Trail for which you'd need a specialist guide.  The Waitukubuli Trail in Dominica is a community led initiative enabling tourists to hike the length of the country in about two weeks. Divided into 14 sections, you can do one a day, and of course you don't have to do the whole thing. Take a guide with you and embrace this wonderfully wild way.
