We chose Olare Motorogi Conservancy for a more intimate Mara experience, with fewer vehicles and the additional freedoms that come with staying within a private conservancy. Chale Island continues that sense of escape on the coast, giving you somewhere to genuinely slow down after your safari.

Flying directly from the Mara to Diani avoids an unnecessary return through Nairobi and creates a natural transition from safari to the coast.

After breakfast, leave Nairobi behind and travel toward Lake Nakuru National Park, descending into the Great Rift Valley as the landscape opens into wide escarpments and changing elevations. Continue toward The Cliff Nakuru, where you will settle in and enjoy lunch before beginning your first safari experience.

This afternoon, head out on a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, exploring its woodlands, open areas, and lakeshore landscapes. The park is particularly known for its rhino population and abundant birdlife, with opportunities to encounter wildlife as you explore the reserve.

As the afternoon light softens across the landscape, return to The Cliff Nakuru for dinner and a relaxed evening overlooking the Rift Valley.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and continue toward the Maasai Mara, travelling through the changing landscapes of the Great Rift Valley before reaching the expansive grasslands of southwestern Kenya.

Upon arrival in the Mara, settle into Olare Mara Kempinski and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first game drive. The Mara's open plains provide a natural setting for wildlife viewing, with possibilities to encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife that inhabits the region.

As the afternoon light begins to soften, return to camp for dinner and your first evening surrounded by the Mara landscape.

The morning unfolds across open grasslands and riverine areas, with possibilities to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelope, and the Mara's resident predators. Pause for lunch, either as a bush meal or back at camp depending on the day's arrangements, before continuing into the afternoon.

As the temperature eases and the light changes across the plains, continue exploring before returning to camp for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Enjoy another full day in the Maasai Mara, with time to explore at a relaxed safari pace and revisit the landscapes that have become familiar over the previous days. If you have chosen the optional hot-air balloon experience, the morning begins above the Mara's plains before continuing with the day's safari activities.

Alternatively, begin the morning at camp before heading out on a game drive in search of the Mara's diverse wildlife. There is always something different to observe across the reserve, from large herbivore herds moving through the grasslands to the possibility of encountering lions, cheetahs, elephants, or other wildlife.

After lunch, continue into the afternoon for your final extended exploration of the Mara before returning to camp for dinner and your last evening in the bush.

Upon arrival in Diani, continue onward to Chale Island, where the pace of your honeymoon begins to shift. Settle into your surroundings and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, with time to relax after the journey and take in the island's coastal setting before dinner and a peaceful evening by the ocean.
